In this update, we’ve made significant improvements to the saved ads experience. You can now filter them by status (saved, contacted, shown interest, hidden), sort them (newest, last updated, highest rent/budget, lowest rent/budget), and view them on a map.

We’ve also added some extra functionality to messaging. If you’ve got multiple active ads, you’ll now be able to filter your conversations to see just ones about a specific ad or just those from users with room wanted ads you’ve contacted.

As always, we'd love to hear your thoughts on the things we can do to improve our app. You can send us your suggestions using the feedback option at the bottom of the Home screen.

Worked great to find a roommate

Finally an app that works!! I paid for a different roommate app where you have to pay to see messages and when I did, every single message was spam. It was awful. I didn’t have to pay on here to message people (though you do have to wait til their ad has been up for 7 days) but I decided it might be worth it to pay $10 to get that extra exposure and message potential people immediately. Luckily, it worked out well for me cause I found someone I liked quickly and she just moved in! Very happy overall.

Beware, don’t trust them

I never waisting my money and time for this app, I subscribe for two weeks 20$,all the people sent the massage for me they all have a mess situation, one of them asked rent for 3 person in small room, one of them she haven’t even job and she insisted to much every day I wanna move in with you. in two weeks I didn’t find anyone in this app and funniest thing is when you’re membership wants be cancel few hours before a receiving a lot of fake massages in app and they say I’m really interested it’s funny they don’t recognize people are not stupid it’s so obvious it exactly the same happened in both weeks, and just for this week I wanted try them and before they cancel my membership I wrote for them my phone number 4-5 hours before cancellation, but they didn’t answer and they didn’t calle or text me and from spareroom they sent me email before visiting people don’t trust them , guys just believe me you can’t finding anyone here 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

On my 4th housemate

SpareRoom thank you for helping me turn my empty room into a money maker. As you know living in LA is very expensive so getting a housemate makes my life easier. Everyone that moved in fit me perfectly and paid rent and utilities on time. I recommend this app, it will help you. Some advice for people who have a spare room, furnish it!!!! You’ll have a better chance of getting a roomie, if you make it easier for them. You’ll always make money from it😉
