Language is Primary!
Without a language unique to a people, do the people exist anymore? While we could say yes, absolutely, the fact is that many indigenous languages are being forgotten, and as my heritage is with the Shawnee people, I have begun learning. And this app for me is so helpful, as my family must have forgotten who we were. This is merely the first step toward enrollment and reengagement with community, and I sincerely appreciate the work that's gone into this app.
