Description

Speed Player is a Safari extension that allows you to easily change the playback speed for any video on the web.

Speed Player does not access or collect any data from websites you visit. It requires access to read and modify websites you visit to change the speed of videos.

With Speed Player you can set a default playback speed which will be applied to every video, or videos that exceed a certain length. You can also use simple keyboard shortcuts to increase or decrease the playback rate.

Suggesting more precise speeds and customizable insta-speed keyboard shortcut

"Video speed controller", the ffox/chrome extension I've been using until this one, can not only be more precise with 1.1, 1.2, etc., it can also set a key to enable a more far-away speed (such as 1.8). It can go back to 1.0 speed with a press of that same key. Even if I set a default speed of, say, 1.75 here, there might be portions where I wanna quickly switch back to 1.0. Not a huge deal because I can quickly press up/down shortcuts quickly for now.

Updating iPad breaks it

Love this app! Only issue I had is when I updated my iPad it broke. If this happens to you, go back and reset the permissions to “ask” instead of “allow” for websites you previously “allow”ed. It will ask you next time and it should work from then on.

Not sure if this is still being worked on but would love for the ability to add custom options to the menu so I don’t have to type 3 every time

Pretty great

Love the simplicity and the funcionality. Only problem is that it doesn't work with Disney .
