Description
SpeedDial lets you make phone or FaceTime calls to your favorite contacts and send iMessage / SMS, WhatsApp and email messages to them from your Macbook or iMac without any need to reach your iPhone.
* Phone calls or sending messages make you interact with your iPhone. Often, this can lead to spending (if not waste) time on checking the social media or other apps after completing the call or messaging. * Keyboard Hotkeys: You can open the app using Cmd + Ctrl + s (You can assign a custom hotkey too.)
* Strong keyboard shortcuts: When the app is active, pressing keys from 1 to 9 will perform the default action (call, message, FaceTime or email) for the corresponding SpeedDial contact.
* Dark mode: It is available in both normal and dark mode themes
*You need WhatsApp Desktop installed on your Mac. You can install it from Mac App Store.
Note: You need a Macbook Pro with Touch Bar to view Touch Bar items
To take full benefit of the app, please make sure that:
* You have an iPhone with iOS 8.1 or later
* Your Mac has at least OS X 10.11 installed
* You have enabled “Calls from iPhone” in FaceTime Preferences.
* You give permission to access contacts.
* Recent contacts will keep track of contacts that you reach from SpeedDial 3. Due to Apple Privacy Policy, it is not possible to reach your call history from the app. You can view all call history from the corresponding apps.

Works OK, but a few suggestions
I cannot seem to get the new feature allowing different default actions for different speed dial contacts to work. There is only a single default for all speed dial contacts.

Thank you for using SpeedDial and for your feedback.
You can right-click on a speed dial contact to set the default action, message type and FaceTime type for that contact. You can use keyboard arrow keys too. By using down arrow, you can select the contact. When selected, right arrow key will open the context menu for that contact. Then you can change the default action. For now, right click using Ctrl + click does not work. I will fix that in the next version. Right click from mouse or click with two fingers on touchpad works. ***** Ctrl+Click issue is now fixed in version 3.8.1*****
Perfect for iPhone Calls from Mac
For many years I have used the Keypad app purchased on the App Store for this same purpose. Keypad appears to be abandoned and doesnt work in macOS 11 Big Sur's new widget bar so I needed an alternative. SpeedDial 3 works great and since there is a Apple Menu bar icon it's very easy to access in Big Sur, well done!

Just purchased this app. No evidence that it was installed. Immediately received an email message - allegedly from Apple, but without the usuall security markings - that my Applie ID just purchased this app. I was advise that If I did not purchase it, to go to the link provided in the email and change my Apple password. Not on your life. Don't touch this app with a 10-foot pole. Doesn't work and smells like fishing. You have been warned!
