Doesn’t work well w/ Kakute boards

Works well with my Matek f711 flight controller using INAV. It does not work well with my quads that all use Kakute f7 flight controllers. It frequently gets stuck on a screen and I have to restart the app. Also, the cli commands don’t work. When I try typing anything in it just brings up a bunch of wonky characters and freezes. Also, regardless of what board I’m using, this app drains battery like there’s no tomorrow, meaning 1-2% per minute on a brand new iPhone 11.

I’ve been using it with the speedybee Bluetooth USB adapter.

A useful app, except for the CLI

I'm using the Speedybee app on a 2017 iPad Pro, with the Speedybee Bluetooth adapter and a BrainFPV RADIX FC. When I go to the CLI and issue any command which yields a lot of text output (DIFF ALL, DUMP, etc), the app drops characters...a LOT of characters. If you ever wanted to paste the output back into the FC, it would fall due to incorrect syntax and bad values for the command arguments. There seems to be no error checking or flow control. Data comes from the FC too quickly for the adapter and/or the app to process. I reached out to Speedybee, who replied saying "We tested it, it works." - totally ignoring the screen shots of it clearly not working! There has been no other communication from their support personnel.

Feb ‘21 update adds step for some BT devices

Great app, a breakthrough for field tuning ... really no substitute for it AFAIK.

I’d standardized on JDY-18 BT modules for all my new builds, and have been adding Flywoo “full speed” 115kbs modules of late, because Speedybee for iOS and iNav on MacOS both worked great with these.

Previous release would scan for BT devices and list various unrelated things along with my modules, usually 4-6 items in range of my work area.

Now “scanning for recognized devices” comes up totally empty on iOS and iPad OS 14.2, with a big frowny face icon.

... labeled “scan for additional devices”.

This will find all the others, and app continues to work great with them!

If you build quads and want to tune, adjust in the field, you NEED this app!
