Description
Spherical Viewer is a simple viewer for panoramic images.
- Image content fills the entire window. Controls are at hand but shown only when required.
- Rotate and zoom with intuitive touchpad gestures, keyboard arrows or mouse click and drag. All motions are smoothly animated.
- Full and partial panoramas are supported.
- Open a set of images and move to the next and previous image with a single click.
- For convenience both panoramic and regular images can be viewed, so you do not need to switch viewers for different image types.
Panoramic images supposed to be in equirectangular projection and image files should contain Photo Sphere metadata for best experience. This metadata is added by most spherical cameras and modern stitching software.

Would love to see in-app albums!
Would love some photo management in this app, like the ability to create albums of spherical photos and move through them in the app.
Works, but zoom is a hassle
It's free and it works well but I'm a bit perplexed why zooming has to be so complicated. I would expect zoom wheel zooming. I don't use a touchpad (and many Macs don't) so pinching is out of the question. That leaves the keystrokes to zoom in and out, at preset levels, which are often either too far or not far enough.
If this supported scroll wheel zooming like every other app for the past decade, it would be 5-stars all the way. It's going to be a hassle to use as it for my use case. I'd also expect macOS to natively support such images in 2021 but Apple can't really innovate anymore outside their silicon.
Great App To Take 360 Photo Viewing Hassles Away
I wanted a simple to use app that can make viewing 360 Degree Photos easy. Luckily this app dpes that. The only thing I wish is I could use it as my defualt previewer of all JPG files however, its lack of zooming easily and lack of print and basic editing features like the Mac Preview app prevent that. But still a great app.
