Splice is an experimental and artistic puzzler. Immerse yourself in its microbial world and start splicing! Every level ("strand") consists of a number of cells that you will need to rearrange into a target structure in several moves ("splices"). Exploration and experimentation are key in determining how the curious little cells react to each other. Predict the sequence of splices you'll have to make in order to successfully arrange each strand. Re-sequence, mutate, and splice your way through this unique puzzle experience, and you'll exercise your ability to visualize sequential series of shapes over time. Solve your way to the final strands and you'll be left with a heady sense of mental accomplishment!

Beautiful Game - Needs GameCenter
I really love this game, from the wonderful music, controls, animations, and crisp graphics! It really is a great game, and can be challenging, but fun. My only criticism is that it has no GameCenter support. Many reviewers complain that it gets boring quickly, however I think that added support for GameCenter would introduce replayability, competition between players, and a more rewarding experience. I hope to see a big update to this game soon!
Great! its relaxing, fun, and beautiful.
I've never written a review before, but I've just been playing this for about 10 minutes and love it. I think its the fact that it's simply a puzzle game, and could have been made with much less effort, but the developers made it absolutely beautiful. I knew it would look good from the screen shots and the fact that they made it support retina displays, but I didn't expect the great music. It's to calm piano music, and I haven't figured this part out yet, but it seems there is some gesture control on the music playback.
Anyways, after about 2 minutes of messing around (I didn't see a tutorial) I figured out the gameplay. I felt compelled to write this review at least for the fact that there was extra effort put into this game to make it enjoyable, not merely functional.
I wish I had read all the reviews! :-(
This game is visually quite beautiful. But for $10, there has to be more to it; and there really isn’t. The puzzle solving gets boring pretty quicky. But the worst thing is the HORRID music, which you cannot turn off. It’s like Phillip Glass’ first experiment in repetition: monotonous, mind-numbing, and nausea-inducing. Only choice is to play the puzzle with ALL sound (for the whole computer) completely turned off. That’s unacceptable.
I wish I could get my money back. It’s purchases like this that make me hesitant to buy other apps in the App Store… hard to get a good idea of whether you will like the app until after youve blown the money on it, and then, it’s too late to change your mind. Frankly, it’s more fun (and cheaper) to just *imagine* an app you’d enjoy, and never actually buy one. <sigh>
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
