Split the bill when dining out
Picture this, you've just had an awesome meal with some friends at your favorite restaurant. You pay the bill and share the receipt with your party. Now what? Instead of dealing with the hassle and inconsistencies of calculating the amount you are owed, just use SplitTab.
HOW IT WORKS
1) Take a picture of the bill
2) Input and save your payment app usernames (Venmo, Cash App, Zelle® etc.)
3) Share the generated link with your friends via QRcode or message
4) Friends open the link and use the web app to select bill items and calculate the amount you are owed
5) Friends hit pay, the payment method of choice should open with payment details already filled in!

- Username verification for Venmo and Cash App. Verify your username with a touch of button when adding a new payment method.
- Toggle torch mode when scanning receipts. Turn torch on to help capture receipt images in dark conditions.
- We added crypto payment methods. Get paid back in select cryptocurrencies.

Simple to use and so helpful for groups!
For how simple the interface is, this is such a powerful tool. Goodbye splitting the bill evenly after someone goes all out on a lavish dinner! I love that the person inputting the bill can provide their venmo or cashapp handle so when everyone else goes to pay, they are brought straight to the pay tab in their respective app.
I also love that shared items can be split, though I think it would be helpful to have a feature do the math on how to split it. For example the person inputting the items to say how many ways the item was split, so their friends could input how many portions of the split they had (ie. split 7 ways, and the friend is paying for 2 of the 7 for themself and their SO). That way we don’t have to do the math for what the split should be percentage-wise :)

Seamless way to split the bill and get paid back
This app really streamlines the process of sharing a bill with your friends and getting paid back! It’s neat to be able to share your payment app usernames. You can even share cryptocurrency wallet addresses. Keep it up !

love how convenient this is! easy to use and saves the hassle of figuring out who ordered what, how much to tip etc etc.
nor do you need to sign into venmo/cash app to connect it! you just provide your screen name (make sure to double check) and you’re good to go.
