The audio is the recording of a real person reading carefully and slowly in an American-midwest accent without background music or dramatic effect which many find distracting. If you find it too fast or slow for your preference, you can adjust the reading speed while still maintaining the natural voice sound. The program remembers the audio position so you can start listening where you last left off. The audio will keep playing even after the screen is locked so you can save battery power while continuing to listen.
The program is simple to use

- You can fast forward, rewind, pause, and skip forward and back chapters.
- Read along scripture text in synch with the audio
- Navigate by Book, chapter and verse

Just an excellent Audio Bible
Over the years I have bought and use free audio KJV bible apps. This one should be the standard for all audio bibles and for memorization. As a Corporate and Law Enforcement Chaplain, this audio bible is a blessing.
Finally you don’t need a memorization app. This app does it all. I can use to:
1. Memorize one verse at a time or 2 or 3 or whole chapters.
2. You may say I can do that with other apps I know, but the secret to the success of this app for me memorizing is the option to repeat.
3. Yes you can repeat one verse at a time or 2-3 or 2-10 verses at a time and all you do is hit repeat the audio and keep listening and repeating it or along with it until you memorize scriptures.
I love this habit. I have a habit where I’ll take a book of the Bible and then choose to memories 3 verse a week from the app. After using the repeat mode and I know the text by heart I move on to the next one.
It’s even worth the price and you have the app that you can use over and over again. So I suggest when for all the Bible apps you have get this app. Chaplain Derrick
Just as great as Fast Bible!
I discovered this app because I love another app that this developer has made called Fast Bible. (Get it if you haven't!)
Spokenword is a fantastic app that does exactly what needs to be done with a quick and clean interface, but doesn't have any extra "stuff" to bog it down. The repeating and customized repeating is an excellent feature!!
I am curious as to why there are two separate apps for OT and NT. seems like it would be easier to have one app...? Anyway, highly recommend this app, especially if you're working on memorizing passages.

My husband and I listen to this on the road, at night, and whenever we can. I like to read along too. This is the best Bible app I’ve ever found. Reading and listening to the Bible is wonderful!
God said He is the word, and I can’t get enough of it. It is new every day. God reveals His word by the Holy Spirit and teaches me great and might things that I did not know. Just like He said He would. ❤️
