SprintReader for iPhone, with Dropbox!
Read through classic novels at up to 1000 words per minute using the advanced speed reading technique called rapid serial visual presentation (RSVP). It's like reading on a really fast treadmill.
Comes pre-loaded with a handful of classic novels available in the public domain.
Thanks for all the feedback!
I added the three most requested features in this update. Hope y'all like it.
1) Storing your progress after the app closes.
Don't lose your place when you close out of the app! Your books will resume where you left off.
2) Fixing the dropbox file upload issue.
Long story short, I was only supporting UTF8 encoding of text files (whodathunk?), and now I'm supporting UTF16, ISOL1/2, and ASCII as well. That should solve most people's issues!
3) Delete texts.
Another popular request, I now let you delete texts by swiping left in the text selection table.
Ratings and Reviews
Does what it says!
I'm disappointed that this app doesn't seem to be maintained anymore. It's really pretty good. It's missing a lot of obvious features (font resizing, scrolling through the text as a whole, etc. Obviously supporting more formats would be great, but maybe more difficult.) The Dropbox integration is perfect. Sometimes it takes a little long to boot, but maybe it just seems that way because the app splash screen is a worrisome blank screen...
A great and wonderful experience
I was a bit skeptical when reading the current reviews available to give this app a go. But upon reading the available titles included and then including my own via Dropbox, this has been a great and wonderful experience. This is the next step in Ebook reading experience. The author of the app is ahead of their time, there are many apps similar that read the web but none to read your ever awaiting ebook adventures.
So close to perfect
Great speed reading app, seriously a game changer when it comes to powering through books. The Dropbox integration works seamlessly.
The only reason I gave four stars as opposed to five is that it doesn't always save your place in the book you're reading, and it doesn't allow you to navigate to a section in the book manually. As a result, when it doesn't save, I have to just put it on the highest speed and wait. Not a deal breaker, but obviously a substantial annoyance.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
