Serious potential

I agree with most reviews, particularly everything 'thesexybackboy' said. All these scores set by friends are useless without some context. And the 'did not place' bug in the Global Events tab is pretty annoying.

This app would be much better if it included everything in the Explore and Global Events menus: the interactive globe, with ranges, peaks, runs, and the leaderboards and medal cutoffs for each. This isn't a bad start for the app, but there is absolutely zero flare and it feels uninspired and bland (the exact opposite of SSX). If this is the best EA can do, I see no reason to even use it. In its current state, it's little more than a heads-up of which friends have recently played.

Great Idea

This app is a fantastic idea, however it needs work. I award five stars to the idea, not the app. It should have the ability to check certain drops, not just every score any of your friends have scored ever. Add inertia to the scrolling. It also needs to update faster, I'm not sure why it is this slow when all other apps are working fine in conjunction with the internet. Again, wonderful idea I will keep it on my iPod and use it from time to time, but I hope as the developer, If you end up seeing this, you will have the dedication to make this app fill the rest of the potential it definitely has. Together, this app and the game ( if improvements are made to the app in an update ), this SSX can be a truly memorable experience to enjoy with friends while competing online and aiming for the highest score, and it can be a milestone in gaming for its community. I can't wait for the update!

Good but Limited

The app is good, but it's kinda limited unfortunately. On the Wall, the entries are there but everyone has the same player icon (I'm not sure if it matters but I play on PS3, maybe they show up for Xbox players?). So what's the point of the icon then?

The Global Events tab is useful. It shows your score, current bracket, and time remaining. Touch it and it slows the minimum scores for each bracket. It's great to keep up with events away from the game, but the events disappear when the close, so you can't see where you were in the final standings.

The friend list is pretty useless. It's just an alphabetical list and there's no way to tell who is online at that moment... and touching their entry just brings up the message box. No other options. No profile details or anything.

This feels like version 0.5 of this app. There's even a scrolling glitch. Hopefully updates are already in the pipeline...
