Stamps allows a hobbyist philatelist to easily import and record details of their stamp collection, including;
• Catalog ID, description, face value, year of issue and country,
• Certificate of authenticity number,
• Vendor and valuation,
• Purchased date, quantity and cost,
• Stamp grading using common terminology for used, gum condition, and centering,
• Overall condition rating,
• Faults identified,
• Color (if applicable),
• Dimensions of the stamp,
• Perforation details, and
• Photos of the stamp, invoice and certificate of authenticity (add images by drag and drop).
Stamps allows you to import your stamp collection from a spreadsheet CSV file (with headers) to minimize re-keying of data and to export your collection as a CSV file (excludes photos) to share with other collectors. Also, a stamp can be duplicated, with the copy being a data entry template when adding stamps with similar data.
Your stamp collection can be filtered by catalog ID, description, face value, year or country and images of your stamps can be viewed in the photo gallery. Inquire on your portfolio profit as well as print listings, the portfolio details or a gallery listing of your stamp collection.
• Fixed issue with numeric sorting of catalog ID,
• Increase maximum window size for larger screens,
• Added Duplicates button and allowed multiple selected stamps to be duplicated,
• Financial information and reports will collate either search filtered or multiple selected stamps for their output,
• Changed Help menu's 'Email the Developer' to 'Contact Support' with default browser opening contact web page.

What are you looking for in stamp collection software?
If you want a database program to inventory your postal stamps and record aquisition information, condition, denomination, perforations and size, along with the ability to attach image files of the stamps and associated certificates and documents, Stamps is it! For these needs, Stamps fulfills with aplomb. Its screens are well laid out and data entry is intuitive. It has limited options for printed reports but it does create an printed, detailed, inventory list. This is exactly what I was looking for in a postal stamp database. I wasn’t looking to develop my own album pages, nor printable arangements for sharing and display. Options for the Mac are limited in this niche. If your needs are basic, Stamps delivers with a simple interface that makes it a pleasure to use. A note about catalog numbers: Stamps has a field to enter Catalog ID. However, if a catalog number is entered in the field, it does not seem to allow sorting by the catalog number within the program’s table. If this is important to you, a work around exists. Enter the catalog number, or other ID, at the begining of the stamp description (in the stamp description field). In this way your stamps may be sorted or searched by catalog number or ID.

Oct 20, 2017: Thank you for your very detailed review. I read it with great interest and it is always pleasurable to read such positive feedback on one of our apps. I have taken a note of your catalog ID sorting comment but your work-around is an excellent idea.
Thanks again, Paul (Stamps Developer).
Feb 20, 2018 (Update): Version 1.11 adds the ability to sort by Catalog ID.
I have over 9,300 stamps entered into Stamps. The new 1.14 version resolves my past concerns and now I highly recommend Stamps for any collector, whether one is just starting or a seasoned. Once you obtain your copy be sure to Optimize you photos before each time you save. Finally, the support I received was outstanding, which is a significant reason I high recommend this App.

Thank you for the review. Just as a note, once you have optimised images in a database, any new images added to that database will be automatically optimised. I am glad the new version has resolved your prior performance issues and it was my pleasure supporting you with this.
