Description

You know that feeling when you finish a complex task at the computer. Thirsty, hungry, brain and muscles are tired.
Had to focus hard for several hours. Feel like collapsing on a sofa, and watching a movie to let the brain relax.
Certainly, you don't feel like exercising.

We have that experience too. And we know the consequences when one practices such working ritual for years.
Your neck, back and eyes hurt. You ignore it at first, but the flare-ups return more and more often.

We're here to help. Let our app remind you that it's good to interrupt sitting, and do a little stretching.
First, it might feel irritating for you to get interrupted when your brain is fully focused.
However, soon a habit will develop and you will find it refreshing.

A few minutes of physical activity will relax your brain, and once you return back to work you'll feel energized.
Make this your new daily routine, and your body will be grateful.

We hope you'll love our app. We've forged it with love and simplicity in mind, for ourselves at first. But then we realised we wanted to share the app with the world, so it can help others too.

Visit our website to learn more about the long-term sitting consequences, and how to improve your sitting habits to keep your body healthy.
Don't hesitate to ask a question, we will try our best to help you out. There is a contact form on our web page.

great idea, but notification is a hit or miss

Great idea for the app. But it's not as useful as it could have been, because the app stops sending notification after a day or so. I've set it to launch at login, in mac settings I have allowed notification to Standup and notification style "Alert", made sure DND mode is off. But still, notification will stop working after a day and I have to relaunch the app.

Hey there. Sorry to hear you experience issues with the app. This is not a normal behaviour. Especially when notifications are the most important piece of the app. Could you send a feedback via the https://GetStandUpApp.com please? I am certain we will figure out what the root cause is.

Thanks for getting me away from my desk!

This app is great! I really appreciate it. I'm behind my desk for work all day, and it reminds me to get up and take care of myself. It's like my computer is now looking after my well being! I gave the app 4 starts because I didn't know about the snooze option. Then, the developer provided the best customer service every and shared with me how to find the snooze options on my computer (it's older so I didn't see it at first); hold down the left mouse key on "ok" once the notification comes up. Seriosuly, best app, thanks for looking out for us and to get us away from our desk, and for the awesome and speedy customer service support. I'd give you and this app more stars if I could give you more than 5!

Thanks for using my app! I am happy it helps you improve your working habits. Can't properly express how much motivation your kind words give me, to keep on developing the app. Thank you and wish you a healthy back!

Simple but everything I need

I can tell that a lot of thought went into making this App. It's really great and I use it daily, everyday.

Love that the work timer starts automatically when I get to my Mac. And also love the timer in the menu bar (which initially I did not like since I thought it takes my attention, but I got used to it and glance at it once in a while).

Thank you and continue the good job!

Developer Response ,

Thanks for your amazing feedback! I created the app exactly for the reasons you describe and I use it daily myself. And you're right, I'm giving a lot of effort into this baby. Apps that seem simple are usually difficult to do.

Also, if you feel like it, you can also turn off the menu bar timer in the app settings :)

Cheers!
