Ratings and Reviews
This is a great looking mobile application, however it lacks functionality and any innovation behind it.
Many times, I find myself going to the university webpage to get the information I need, as the application will redirect to Safari anyways.
The IOT Department and/or developer(s) overseeing the MyStanState Mobile APP, really need to think about doing an overhaul with it.
Love the school, but who's testing this?
Pros: The Associated Student button works
The sports button shows me some sports news
The library button shows library times...
There's a map!
Oh and some emergency contacts.
Neutral: There is a picture button that shows pictures of building and sidewalks I see everyday. Am I supposed to use this to reminisce about class when I get home?
Cons: I haven't been able to get a single search to find ANYTHING in the directory. It just goes blank after a couple seconds.
The news is all months old.
The biggest disappointment was the blackboard button redirected me to a 2 star PAID app in the AppStore that seems to be useless according to the reviews.
Unfortunately this app is more of a hassle than a convenience.
This app is garbage as it just redirects to web pages that are often out of date. OIT told faculty and students that this would be used for verification of completing all screenings to attend in-person classes. That still hasn’t happened and given the history of this app, it looks doubtful that it will be useful at all.
