Ok I finally figured out what I was doing wrong. Start at the beginning again to earn credits, buy upgrades, then advance. Game is fun again.
Decent rails shooter
Pretty good on rails shooter. Like that there are now IAPs in it, everything is upgraded via in-game money.
The graphics are good and it is easy to see what are targets versus background ships and other objects.
You also get breaks in combat to make choices during the level to branch off what you want to do, in other words rail path changes.
Only downfall is the voice acting is TERRIBLE and sounds like it was recorded in someones house. I think the word "John" is the new rage in the universe, may as well replace "the" for it as you hear your pilot's name at almost every line of pilot communication. Also, the random VO John gives during dogfights is really irritating.
I recommend it based on price, especially if you want a quick "blow crap up" game. It is not a hard game, and the levels take about 10 minutes to get through.
