Complete Music Notation

I can’t say enough good things about this app! I play keyboards as part of a rock/pop trio, where I often need to create and score my part in a song. Typically I do this by sounding out a few notes on a keyboard, then when I’m satisfied entering those notes into Staventabs. Staventabs can then play back what I’ve entered, so I can hear if I’m in the ballpark. There is a comprehensive set of editing tools, where I can insert new notes, copy bars of repeating music, or raise any part of the score up or down in fractions of an octave. When I’ve had a question I email their support, and have always received a response back with a couple days. Great app, great support!

After using the free one for a while, I bought it. And it surpasses all expectations. I love it, I have made awesome music. 10/10 Ps. DONT LISTEN TO THE NEGATIVE REVIEW, THEY ARE JUST TOO LAZY TO LEARN, PLUS 18 DOLLARS IS HARDLY A DENT IN YOUR WALLET.Edit: the new interface is quite stunning, in a good way though. I caught on relativily quickly to it since I was familar to the old one, but it may be over whelmening to someone just getting this. So all I have to say is don't give up, because you'll get the hand of it after a bit of using it

Hi! Thank you a lot for your kind review about the new update and using the Stave'n'Tabs! We still continue improving the app to provide you with the top-level musical notation software. As for help materials, updating them is in our near plans. We hope the new manuals and the future updates won't disappoint you either. Great thanks!
Had a pretty steep learning curve, but managed to make a music score

Yesterday I tried out the app, and so far I was thrilled when I managed to add a note to the stave. It’s normally pretty hard to find a good software for one self’s workflow, but honestly the UI was good at the end and well-made.

So much potential, but...

I purchased the Pro version of this app. It does (or could potentially do) so many wonderful things that are exactly what I’m after, which is arranging guitar chords and lyrics along with bass tabs and notation. The problem is that I have found it absolutely tedious to use on my Mac desktop computer. I’ve been using point and click, with occasional key strokes to enter my music and it takes me way too long to do very simple parts. The interface seems to fight me every step of the way. There must be a better way, but I find that the available documentation and video instruction are as cumbersome as the app itself. Even if I manage to finish the song I’m currently working on, it is going to take twice the number of pages because I can’t seem to condense the vertical space between the parts. I hope the developers improve its ease of use, because I need something with less muscle than Logic Pro for what I’m doing, but it still needs to feel musically responsive. And please add contrast to the UI. I need to be able to see a cursor--or highlighting that stands out more than pale yellow on white—so I can see which part, beat, or bar I am working with.
