Description

The Stepping Stones Puzzle is a brand new numbering strategy game.
Create your path and play all pieces to win.
Simple to understand, yet hard to master.

The Stepping Stones Puzzle

The Stepping Stones Puzzle is a simple, yet surprisingly deep and enjoyable game of numbers and topology for a single player.

The objective is simple: Place a given series of ordered, red stones onto an infinite chessboard.

There are only two rules:

1. Each new stone must be equal in value to the sum of its neighbors.
2. Once placed, a stone must not be moved.

Each game starts with some blue stepping stones on the board. The are worth 1 point each and they cannot be moved.

You are given a set of 15 or more red stones with ordered values of 2, 3, 4, ….
Just tap on the board to place the next stone and collect 1 point.
If you manage to place all your red stones, you win the game.

Often, there are more than one matching places for your next stone.
Beware of snookering yourself by obstructing your own path forward or by following a dead end.

Enjoy 24 levels of increasing complexity.

After a while you will discover and apply repeating patterns, which will make solving Stepping Stone Puzzles a breeze.

To get you started, we have included six Super-Powers, which you can trade for points collected earlier:

Undo - Tap the last number to back up, if you got into a dead end.
Auto Calculator - Tap any field to add up all neighbors.
Pencil Notes - Display the value of free fields on the board.
Valid Choices - Highlight you options in any situation.
Scout - Look ahead for dead-end paths.
Hindsight - Review ideal openings afterwards, in case you get stuck.

We hope you will enjoy this game as much as we do.

I love this game.

It only takes a few seconds to get started. Just one rule. Then placing the pieces turned into an interesting puzzle. After a few rounds I had collected enough points to activate some of the super powers, which made spotting dead ends much easier. After hours of fun and having figured out some repeating patterns, I have now reached level 17 (hard), still enjoying this game.

Awesome math game

I would really like to be able to look at the board longer after a Game Over, so I can think about what just happened. Without needing to rePlay my moves, I’d appreciate being able to watch them back. I would also appreciate the ability to select the level I start on given what levels I’ve previously passed.
