Description

Stethophone™ is an FDA-cleared medical software that allows your smartphone to be used immediately as a digital stethoscope to listen to your heart and lungs.

REAL MEDICAL SOFTWARE

Stethophone brings peace of mind when symptoms occur.

Lucillemor ,

It’s great

As a woman in my 40s, taking care of my health and my family is more important than ever. I am impressed with this app; it is very intuitive and easy to use. I can listen to and record my heart, which is mind-blowing. It's like having a cool stethoscope on your phone. I am excited to show it to my doctor.

Developer Response ,

Hello Lucillemor,
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with Stethophone! It's fantastic to hear that you feel empowered to listen to your heart with our app. We're just as excited as you are to see how your doctor reacts! If you ever need anything or have further feedback to share, please feel free to reach out. We're here to support you every step of the way.

OKheart ,

Great idea! But not great results.

Basically I could not get the app to present my audible heart beats consistently, even with moving the phone around a few different places. I'm in a quiet place, sitting perfectly still, in a calm setting, but the audio of actual beats is very intermittent. I've got heart issues, with a prosthetic aortic valve and a pacemaker. With a real stethoscope i can hear my own regurgitation. With the app I could barely hear the A/V beats and that was very infrequent. I could hear my lungs and breathing.

Developer Response ,

Dear OKheart,

We really appreciate your feedback as it shows an interesting and rare case for other users.
As you know classic stethoscopes can sometimes cause loud, unpleasant sound artifacts from accidental touching clothing and skin. When creating Stethophone, we developed a feature called Declicker that is designed to make auscultation more comfortable in cases like that. However, when using on people with valve prostheses, Declicker needs to be turned off. By default it is enabled, so please open the Settings and turn it off. That will fix your issue and you will be able to hear heart beats and regurgitation, and we hope you will enjoy using Stethophone. PS: Please remember Apple’s safety rules for using phones with pacemakers, you can find the link to the rules on our label (Regulatory Information).
