Strategic War is a simple yet blissfully addictive game of world domination.
You will have to establish your strategy and manage your armies in order to crush your enemies. You will need to organize your forces, conquer and hold strategic countries on the map.
You can play against your friends or against 3 type of computers : aggressive, defensive or intelligent.
On Going Development :
Strategic War is being actively developed. We’d love to hear your feature ideas at firstname.lastname@example.org
***** Tips *****
- To place a lot of armies, Click and Hold on a country instead of clicking a million times.
- Use the keyboard shortcut «spacebar» to end your turn
- Use the keyboard shortcut ⌘F to enter or quit the Full Screen mode (only on Snow Leopard)
Position of the countries and buttons doesn't bug anymore on OS X Lion.

Strategy without bells and whistles
Think Risk in 10 minutes, with simple/straightfoward gameplay, and streamlined graphics (the screenshots are all the variety you get). It's good for a quick strategy game, but don't look for a ton of depth here, Strategic War is intended to be easy to pick up with little to no learning curve. There are plenty of high quality complex strategy games on the app store with a high price to match, this is a barebones strategy game with a low price that proves to be effective and addictive. Got more then my 2 dollars worth here.
Great Little Risk-Type Game!
I bought this ridiculously inexpensive App of one of my Old Favorite board games yesterday and have played it several times. It’s an absolutely GREAT version, albeit simplified and with no options to vary how the game begins. However, it’s a very good value (I hesitate to compliment that aspect in case they decide to increase the price!! LOL) and alot of fun.
It would be nice if there were some Rules help but if you know how to play the RISK board game, you are good to go. Really love this one!
I discovered a flaw/bug today. Both times it involved North Africia. In the first instance my nearest country was the Middle East but when I looked at the screen North Africa was in my color! Cool - sneak attack?
The second instance I has Western Europe but had not yet invaded North Africa but, again, I noticed it has turned to my color. The other army ran away?
Minor quibble but ...
