Tried this out as I was disappointed that I couldn’t download my media for on the go offline use using swiftfin or jellyfin mobile apps.
This one works pretty straightforward! It has an easy use from what I’ve seen. Very exited to see where this project goes.
Not sure if it was my end or not, but I did notice downloading a movie was a little buggy. It downloaded fine, but trying to get offline playback was rough. It kept loading without any progress, including when I skipped around. I’m assuming that’s because the file was 11GB but not really sure. It at least works, and I’m hoping will only keep improving.
A diamond in the rough
This app has huge potential, but clearly lacks some testing and polish. I cannot make a video full screen. I cannot access my downloads unless I disable internet… it keeps trying to connect. It should try, pop up an option to go to downloads and after one or two more retries it should go to downloads. When you queue multiple videos the notifications are obnoxious. The app crashes occasionally.
Still with all that the download piece and general look is great. Hope the developer sticks to it.
Super cool
Overall decent design. Wish I could turn off the screen brightness and/or volume sliders from the player, and have better positioned buttons for closing the player. The x is very close to the rounded edge and feels small. Other than that I’m really liking this open source player. Thanks for your hard work
