Description

StressWatch is your trusted Apple Watch app that monitors stress and tracks HRV, RHR, sleep, sunlight, mood, water, caffeine, and more to enhance well-being.

StressWatch has been featured on the Apple App Store in 171 countries and regions —
# Best of August
# The Best Apps for iOS 18
# Better Understand Your Wellbeing
# Essential Watch Apps
# Featured New App
# Our Favorite of This Week

StressWatch relies on your RHR (Resting Heart Rate) and HRV (Heart Rate Variability) data retrieved from Apple Health.
We'll analyze and interpret the data to determine your current stress levels. We constantly monitor your status and remind your immediately if your stress levels get too high so you can take action right away to help reduce your stress levels.

#How can StressWatch help you?
- When you work late into the night, StressWatch can remind you that your HRV is low and you're stressed - a gentle reminder to help you understand that it's time to get some rest.
- When you're at a social event and you have to force yourself to smile, we'll remind you that your HRV is low and you're stressed - a gentle reminder to get some fresh air and recharge.
- When you've had just a bit too much to drink, we'll remind you that your HRV is low and you're stressed (because alcohol is a stresssor) - a gentle reminder to let up a bit on the cup, drink some H2O, and take care of your body.
- You can constantly monitor your HRV levels (and stress levels) from your Apple Watch by adding StressWatch to your Watch Face.
- Paired with proper exercise and adequate rest, monitor and analyze your weekly and monthly stress levels over prolonged periods of time; you'll realize that you're getting better as time goes on.

#Design Concept
We created StressWatch with the sole intention to help people to reduce anxiety in this age of stress and pressure. However, data and numbers do not have any meaning if the user is unable to interpret the data. (Not everyone is a rocket scientist!) So it got us thinking: how can we design a app that delivers numbers and data in a friendly manner that will help users to reduce stress and anxiety. Thus, we created the "Stress Bubble", which is the foundation of our product design. The "Bubble" will change colors as the user's stress levels rise.

Apple Health Integration
StressWatch reads heart rate health data from Apple Watch through Apple Health. StressWatch requires read authorization from Apple Health to provide reminders, stress moment statistics, and suggestions; otherwise, it cannot function properly. Rest assured, your health data is stored locally, and we do not upload any of your health data.

This is top app for stress watch

This app helped me understand why I am stressed and understand HRV better. Also, this is not just monitoring your HRV, including sun time, mindfulness, steps, noises, and sleep time. Even they have customized your mood. That's so cool! All of this is important to impact your stress, and try to follow up on them to make you relax. That's the best feature compared to another app I tried.

I'm unsure if this newly developed app was recently created. However, there are many ways to improve, like dark mode, analytics data history, and notifications directly from the app, not only Apple Watch. That example would make it easier and more friendly for all of us to access.

NOTE for people who complain about subscriptions: I understand your valid point that they should be free because it's a toolkit for your mental health. However, how can they get paid to developers, keep it in the App Store, and even have a team of many people to develop this app to support all? Therefore, they need our support to run as well. This app can grow to be the best.

No Real Time Updates

I'm updating my review and adding a couple stars because I appreciate the Developer response and they shouldn't be faulted for Apple's horrible policies and refund review process.

Updated Review: Alerts don't happen in real time, which is what I specifically need this app for. The max frequency you can get (which requires configuration from default settings of 2-5 hours) is every 15 minutes. I appreciate caring Developer responses, and if real time monitoring is not needed, the app would be fine. More that watch faces don't work for all (though complications do work).

Old Review: The data was consistently several hours behind. Alerts don't come in real time (even though I made sure my settings allowed for immediate notifications). I purchased this in order to get alerts in the moment so I could make adjustments in real time. After trying it for almost a day hoping it would catch up, I canceled and requested a refund. The request was denied, I appealed, and it was denied again. Normally I wouldn't purchase without a free trial but the reviews and ratings were so high I took a chance. I think a lot of those ratings must be friends and family. I don't often write negative reviews, but this was an expensive mistake and since refunds are apparently not possible even when requested promptly because functionality doesn't work, I want to try to save someone else from a similar error in judgment.

Developer Response ,

The default HRV (Heart Rate Variability) update frequency for the Apple Watch is every 2-5 hours. However, if you need real-time updates, you can adjust the monitoring frequency to every 15 minutes by going to Settings > Stress Monitoring Frequency. This should meet your needs.

Regarding refunds, they are automatically processed by Apple, which bases its decisions on the duration of your purchase and your past refund history. As developers, we do not have the authority to participate in the refund review process.

As an app that has been recommended multiple times on the App Store, all our reviews are from genuine users.

Buyer beware-

I initially downloaded this app to help manage my severe anxiety attacks after being hospitalized a few months ago. I was hoping it would provide insights into my episodes since I hadn’t experienced much anxiety before my hospitalization. Despite the high ratings, my experience was disappointing. I used the free version for some time but kept running into glitches, so I was desperate enough to try the free trial. Unfortunately, it was to no avail. The data was hours behind, alerts didn’t come in real time, and it glitched frequently with my watch. After the trial was over, it glitched even more. I tried to fix and repair it, but nothing worked, and deleted the app from my watch and phone.

I requested a refund after a day of trying, but it was unsuccessful. The most frustrating part was the lack of customer support. Despite reaching out multiple times, I received no assistance or satisfactory explanations for the issues I encountered. This was an expensive mistake, and I hope my review helps others avoid a similar error in judgment.
I never write reviews, but I felt compelled to warn others before purchasing this product. While it wasn’t the most expensive app, having something that doesn’t work as it should shouldn’t be the customer’s burden. Despite the high star rating, consider this app a fraud, even more so after my experience. As a few other people like me have had the same issue, I hope this review helps others avoid a similar mistake.
