StrideWise: Step Counter

Step tracker & friend rankings

Free · In‑App Purchases

Reach your daily step goal and bring your friends along. StrideWise was born out of a family challenge to hit 10,000 steps a day. It reads your steps straight from Apple Health and turns them into something you actually want to look at. WALK TOGETHER Add friends with a code or a link and watch your steps line up next to theirs on a shared leaderboard. Compare today, yesterday, this week, this month, or the whole year, ranked by steps, goal reached, or current streak. A podium crowns the top three, because a plain list never made anyone walk further. SEE YOUR PROGRESS A daily ring that fills as you walk. Your last seven days at a glance. Streaks, a goal calendar, monthly and yearly charts, and a year end forecast that tells you where you will land if you carry on like this. BUILT FOR REAL LIFE Works with your iPhone alone or with an Apple Watch. Nothing to set up beyond your daily goal. Available in English, Deutsch, and Português (Brasil). PRIVATE BY DEFAULT No ads, no analytics, no tracking. Your steps stay on your device unless you choose to set up a Friends profile and even then only the people you accept can see them. 100 % free to use! Hello Steppinistas! The Friends feature had been telling your friends how many steps you had taken at 7am and then going back to sleep for the rest of the day. This release wakes it up, and fixes the reason it was asleep. New: - A badge for friend requests. The Friends tab and the app icon now show how many people are waiting for an answer. It clears the second you accept or decline. - Old numbers admit they are old. If a friend's phone has been quiet for more than 12 hours, their row tells you when they last synced, instead of passing off a breakfast step count as tonight's. - Welcome back. Reinstall the app and StrideWise recognizes your profile before it asks for a name, then offers to keep the name and avatar you already had. Previously it handed you an empty field and a random avatar color, and then wrote both over your old profile. Fixed - Your steps reach your friends all day. The part of the app that wakes up when you walk was missing a permission and had been failing every single time, silently, for as long as the feature has existed. The daily 7am sync was doing all the work on its own. Your count now updates through the day, with the app closed, and your friends stop seeing your 7am total at dinner time. - Changing your goal changes your leaderboard. Your goal was recorded when you first created your profile and never looked at again. Friends were comparing you against a target you may have abandoned months ago. - Friends update when you open the app. Standings used to refresh only when you opened the Friends tab itself. - The goal hit rate survives the 1st of the month. It counted calendar months, so on the first of the month one good day read as 100 percent and one bad day as 0 percent. It now covers the last 30 days and says so on the card. - The Health setup screen gets to the point. iOS 27 asks how far back you want to share your data, and StrideWise needs all of it. The screen now walks you to "Full History" rather than leaving you to work it out after two paragraphs about magic calculations. - Tidier More tab. "Getting Started", "Contact Us" and "Common Questions" were the only entries in Title Case. The section headings were also inconsistent between languages, so German said "StrideWise" while English shouted "STRIDEWISE". - Room to breathe in onboarding. Skip and Customize sat almost touching the button above them, close enough to look like part of it. Happy Walking! The StrideWise Team
