Strongbox Pro (Non-Universal‪)‬ 4+

Had to migrate away from 1password because they're dropping local vaults in version 8 (at least that's what they've said so far). Strongbox has been an fantastic replacement, and the ability to import a 1password export saved me a ton of time! There are maybe a few rough edges, but the strongbox team has shown that they're constantly working to improve it, and the stuff I use daily in it works great, so I'm optimistic it's only ever going to get better! Recommended!

The developer is also very responsive. I found a bug with importing the file exported by 1password, and after a few back and forth emails he understood the issue, and it was fixed within a few more days.

I previously only used keepass on mutliple windows boxes and have successfully migrated to a hybrid mac/ios/windows environment. I use iCloud to sync my password store to all of my devices. The capability to use multiple factors to login to the password vault is much appreciated.

This works great, i use the 2FA generator and can access it securely everywhere I need it. No internet is needed to access my passwords.

With the iOS family license everyone can have their own password vault or using file sharing (iCloud, etc.) two people can share a password vault.

I've been a long time user of Strongbox on my iPhone and decided to give it a try on my Mac. I'm glad I did. In many ways it's better than than the iOS version - mostly due to the luxury of more space for the UI.

I ended up with Strongbox because it was one of the first iOS password apps to integrate Yubikey the right way, and the 2FA strength of a key I wear around my neck can't be beat. The app continues to improve and when there is an issue or problem (mostly caused by cloud providers or OS updates), it's addressed right away.
