Stronghold Kingdoms is the MMO successor to the Stronghold castle building series, most famous for the original Stronghold (2001) and Stronghold: Crusader (2002). Unlike the original and Crusader, Kingdoms allows players to relive the Middle Ages in the world’s first castle MMO. Stronghold with a Twist

Firstly!!!!!! DO NOT jump into the game and skip tutorial buying and building anything and everything. Slow down and understand what the game has you doing and how to grow.

I have been playing for about 3 days now and while not having done a deep dive into all the game has to offer war mechanics, defenses, and politics wise, there are still plenty to review. This game really does embody the PC stronghold look, and play style. A few tweaks have blended useful cards that help you get buffs, and popularity is a must keep positive to grow. That being said this game is what a PC player would expect from mechanics and world view, full of people all around to become a vassal of for protection and increased growth. Highly recommend getting a higher lvl player to station troops and allow you to grow off their buffs. Later on you can switch this and stretch out on your own.

Overall great experience and I’m inviting other Stronghold original players to join in the fun. Worth the effort of playing and sticking with the design and play of the game.

Don’t listen to the players

Please don’t ruin the game by listening to the players who don’t understand the game stronghold kingdoms is hands down perfectly build to play all game styles developers don’t need to do anything but make sure the game server’s run good and give good service okay back to game styles if you are pay to win game is perfect balanced for you and if you are free to play the game is perfect trust me developers all does who cry about the game don’t understand it I was like this at 1st but got it real quick and decided to write this review especially for you DEVELOPERS so I ask one more time don’t ruin the game it is the best game out right now of its kind and I’m getting all my friends who love stronghold like my self don’t worry about anything but making sure the game server’s run good the game is about to get a hand full of players and that’s all I see the game needing work on response from taping on objects I wish I could go more in depth but I’m sure you guys understand when I say just worry about your servers running good and for the response from tapping on things to get better but all that said hands down ya are perfect and brilliant and I can’t stress enough DONT LET PLAYERS THAT DONT UNDERSTAND THE GAME MAKE YOU GUYS RUIN THE GAME PLEASE THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE GAME I PROMISE THE GAME IS PERFECT THANK YOU FIREFLY FOR FINALY MAKING THIS GAME ALL LOVE HERE a word of advice for free to play players go for banqueting;)<3

Not bad

Not bad, reminds me a bit of stronghold with a dash of clash of clans style.
While fun I have encountered a few glitches such as quests refusing to actually give you their rewards and the music completely disappearing. The game also doesn’t hold your hand so it’s easy to miss things, but if you ply for a bit you’ll kind of figure things out. I wouldn’t mind some more building info and descriptions in castle view, but I’ll take what I can get. It’s better than clash in my opinion but I still have a couple things to get used to. I definitely feel more free though.
You have a good deal of freedom with research choices, and production doesn’t feel too confining, the overworked map is also a cool feature as well as castle view separated from village view. Simplified units is also an interesting choice though I wouldn’t mind perhaps a spearman unit for early game and slingers, something to give military options earlier, I kind of feel like I can’t do anything militarily right now. Last comment would be I wish you could buy more construction workers with in game currency, being limited to one after a couple days makes it a bit slower but I get running the servers costs money so there is a hope we’ll buy a pass. I wouldn’t even mind some optional ads for small rewards like a temporary construction worker.
