  • App is great, want to be able to pre-plan workouts

Hey, I love this app! Congratulations on being solo dev and launching this. I also appreciate that you won’t steal my data like Strong does. The biggest draw to this for me was the privacy and the fact that it works with Watch. If you added a feature that allows me to pre-plan workouts I’d happily pay monthly for this app. For example: Being able to enter a full 6-week plan, day-by-day, with reps and sets it would be very helpful. My biggest pet peeve is carrying my phone at the gym. Strong removes this need for me by allowing me to see my workout progression for a given day and log it all on the watch. Strong does this very well and especially so with their Apple Watch integration for real-time tracking. Please check it out and think about building that in the next release. Your app is faster, has a better UI/UX, and has a privacy bonus - if done right, I feel certain you could make a splash and really take this to the next level. As said, I’d happily pay monthly for your app, or a bigger annual payment if it gave me those features I love in Strong, but without stealing my data. Nice work, I bought this version, keep going please!

Thank you for your kind words and your support! I would love to develop the watch app further. I agree that, for now, it's very simple but I will try to improve it as soon as I can :) I will have a look at your suggestions and see what would work best for Strongify, thanks again!

  • Great Simple App for Tracking Progress

    Jhendricks1980

I’ve been looking for sometime for a simple app to replace my pen and notebook when tracking my Weight lifting workouts. This app is perfect and gives me easily viewable charts of my progress. The app actually has more functions than I use, but the extra functions do not get in the way of using the most basic functions of this app. Other exercise apps get way too complicated with pre-selected workouts, exercise demonstrations, meal tracking, and a lot of other additional functions that I did not want or need. Other apps also have additional Purchases that you have to make within the app to get the Full functions. Not this app!! If you’re looking for an app with simple inputs that will not take up a lot of additional time to Record your weight lifting sets and will easily show you your progress over time, this is your app. Thanks for the great, simple workout tracker.

  • Minor improvements, but still great

Tested this app for about a week and so far it’s been easy to use and I’ve been able to progress my lifts and keep myself accountable to push my workouts further. Notes: - widget doesn’t update correctly. It showed I only worked out 2 days, but when going in the app and looking at the calendar it showed 3 days of workout. At some point it corrected itself so I’ll need to test another week out. - I’m a bit particular in categorizing, so maybe adding a sub-description area beneath the workout would be helpful - would also be nice if there was a setting to import to apple health Update: App showing incorrect workout days. I.e yesterday was my rest day and a workout is populated. Otherwise still a great app to track workouts. Hope these bugs can get fixed.Update:The app automatically keeps double entry-ing a set.

  • Good app but updates introduce more bugs

Edit: did you delete my review? Got a notification that you responded but could not find it. Reposting it now…Never write reviews but the latest update’s added a bug (?) that’s so needlessly frustrating. Been using this app for years and have appreciated the updates since, but feel like each new update breaks something. Latest update now causes the app to reset to the beginning screen every time I switch to a different app or lock my phone and come back. This is counterintuitive since I’m doing multiple sets of the same exercise, and I don’t want to keep having to navigate back to the same exercise every time. The most frustrating part is this wasn’t an issue before the latest update. Please test the app before rolling out a new update. Love the app and will keep using for now but this has been a really inconsistent experience.

  • Solid workout tracker – needs a few improvements!

    8-Bit Shark

I’ve been using this app for ~two years. I love how minimal the interface is — I really just need a simple way to keep track of my progress and create my own routines without using the Notes app.I’m a huge fan of the streak tracker, the calendar, the visual line graph for each workout, and the widgets. The app has greatly helped me to stay on track, and I’m glad this app takes advantage of each new iOS update feature set. There are a few bugs that keep this app from being perfect, however. As of the update that added iCloud syncing, every workout entry I input automatically creates a duplicate. I find myself having to delete the duplicate every single time. This issue has persisted even after deleting and reinstalling the app.I also find that scrolling through previous entries in a workout causes the screen to lock up/freeze during the scrolling animation, disallowing me from interacting with the screen until the animation completes. With these bugs ironed out, this would be the perfect workout tracker.

  • best app for tracking progress

    thetimeseptember

i like this app bc it's simple and you can easily see your progress all in one place. i havent found other apps that have simple visualization of progress for the samw exercise like strongify something I'd like to see fixed is for all the weights from the same day to be aggregated into the same data point on the progress graph. sometimes when viewing "total volume," weights from the same day are broken up into two data points on the progress graphupdate: I'd also love to be able to rearrange my exercises into different workouts- like if i am changing my workout split
