Very good app, one very major bug

I’m very happy to have found this app while lurking on Reddit so I could block myself from lurking on Reddit. I’ve never written a review on the App Store before and likely never will again, this app has helped me in so many ways since I got it. Scrolling times are down, hobby times are up, steps are up. Which was exactly the goal. Worked great for me and the locking is a great feature. One major bug since the update has stopped the app from working properly for me, however. I’m unable to give it the ability to read steps. I pressed the button in settings since it said it didn’t have the ability anymore and it took me to the system screen to enable it, I flip the little switch and press done and… nothing. Still unauthorized. Other than this past day, the app has been perfect for me though.

Great for Decreasing Screen Time

I found this app while on Reddit and thought I’d give it a shot. It’s been great helping me not only be more cognizant of how much time I spend on my phone, but also helping me to keep active. My overall screen time is down! I’ve been finding other things to do than sit on my phone and doom scroll. I also like how much you can customize block usage. My only complaint is that I use a Garmin watch to keep track of my steps and the steps don’t seem to translate over to the app real well. It probably has more to do with the Apple Health app than Stryde and how it connects with Garmin. Regardless, I’ll keep using Stryde!

The changes & increased stats have been phenomenal. When I had an issue with pro being recognized after I had to reset my phone, I emailed support and John got to work on it immediately. Within a day, he had made changes and resubmitted the app to Apple for updating. He went as far to let me know today it was approved and ready for download. Not only is this app so beneficial to kick these bad habits, but it is carefully managed & consistently updated for the best experience. I have recommended it and will continue to do so! Thanks John for this app!

Great concept but very buggy

This app is a great concept! I have a desk job and I thought this would help limit some of the mindless scrolling I do when I get home and maybe get some exercise in. App did work great the first few weeks but nowadays it rarely blocks anything and I know I haven’t earned enough steps. I’ve had some times where I’ll check how much time I have left to play my games and it says I need say 2k steps to unblock but nothing is actually blocked. Today was the first time in weeks it tried to block anything. I went to see how many steps I needed to unblock and it said 5k. Umm, why didn’t it block me sooner?Again, I LOVE the idea. It just needs to actually work.
