Saved my Sanity
Styleseat saved the day. My app was not functioning properly while I was overseas, and I went through a 2 week period of frantic emails with them, upset and desperate to figure it out. During this stressful period, Styleseat put my case back in the hands of a Customer Service Rep that I was familiar with, a person who I'd been working with since I started my account with them, and just this small thing was extremely reassuring. In the end, turns out the app was only not functioning due to my being overseas, as soon as I returned to the Bay Area everything was normal again, so I owe Styleseat a HUGE apology for freaking out prematurely and threatening to leave them! Through this ordeal that was no fault of theirs, I was extremely impressed by how patiently, kindly and promptly they handled the situation, along with constantly trying to improve the app. They turned what could have been a horrific experience into a Golden experience for their client, and now I will never even think of leaving them again! Thanks a million Styleseat! I was not wrong to choose you!!!!

Been using styleseat for like 4 years. Used styleseat when it was free and I was glad to pay the $35 a month. Everything about styleseat was 100% excellent until they took my ability as a stylist to require clients to use a credit card when they book. I’m not paying $35 a month to get no shows. You guys really think you run things. This is my business, you are just a booking app! My clients come to me because of me! NOT STYLESEAT! I spend enough money on ads and yelp listings, my website, and just doing a good job on my clients. You don’t have the right to jump and and change that. There are plenty of booking apps out here. We should have the option NOT YOU!!!!! Why would I pay $35 a month for these new and flaky clients who don’t show up?? So I’m just gonna bite the bullet and just have full control of my own book on my website FOR FREE. I really hate to go because I love everything else. But after the system went down for hours and no one contacted us... and couldn’t get a hold of my money or book THEN TO TOP IT OFF people ARE NOW booking without a credit card (they can call the shop for that), I decided to just use my own credit card machine at the shop and go back to pen and paper and my website. I Will only book one month in advance. I plan on requiring deposits through zelle, cashapp, & PayPal.

I have been using this app for at least 6+ years. In the beginning clients along with myself loved the app! It was so user friendly and helped out a lot. As the years have gone by- especially once they started charging a high monthly fee of $35- the glitches started and constant updating. Now they have a feature where clients HAVE to put in a credit card in order to book. In the past this was always an option and the stylist had control to keep it on or not. I am finding this very frustrating & clients cards are getting "auto checked out" when they have always been cash & check customers. With the amount of data breaches I don't blame anyone for not wanting to store their card in a system. The app is constantly changing and it's difficult for myself and clients to keep up with. I never know the exact protocol. Also, it's near impossible to get a sincere response from their customer service. There still is no customer service phone number listed anywhere- simply email. When I do send emails most the time I get an auto response back and very generic directions or steps forward. This is especially frustrating dealing with payments. If you asked me 4 years ago how I like this app I would have had nothing but great things to say! Moving forward now I'm hoping to find something more reliable and hopefully not so expensive. Look else where before you sign up for styleseat
