Sudoku‪・‬ 4+

This is a new review. First let me say this is the best Sudoku puzzle I have ever had. It was just recently updated and these are my new comments on the puzzle. First let me say I am very disappointed. They took the clock back off. I played the game on my phone while waiting for appointments and whatever and knowing the time while I play is very important. Second, putting the yellow overlay on the crosshair is too strong. It covers up the numbers too much. All it really needed was very very very slightly darker crosshairs than it had before. Also, for the crosshairs, they need to turn on and not be blocked for existing numbers. they should turn on For all shells. Thirdly, the new design on the buttons at the bottom are very nice. Thanks for a great puzzle. Hope we can get these changes. Take care bye-bye. My review stands the same

I’ve been playing this game for some time and enjoy the controls and the puzzles. I have bought several packs of puzzles at different difficulty levels and until recently enjoyed them very much.

The problem is the ads, which have always displayed above the puzzle board (even after I’ve paid for puzzle packs, which is disappointing). In the last few weeks, those banners seem to be flashy enough to be distracting while I play; unfortunately that isn’t the worst problem. The ads I now have to wait for a close button to appear on them every time I open the app aren’t the worst problem either, though they are mighty annoying indeed. The most appalling are the ads that interrupt gameplay mid-game, full-screen, and make you close them before continuing to play. This, in an app I’m paying to play? That’s galling. It’s behavior I might expect from a free app of much lesser quality.

Bottom line: this is a good game made unplayable by intrusive ads that ruin gameplay. I’d recommend avoiding; even though these are the best controls for Sudoku on the iPhone that I have found, lesser version of the game her also much less annoying.

I almost made this a three star review. I’m still putting 5 stars because I love this game. The UI is better than many other sudoku apps I’ve tried, but I don’t understand why they changed the look of it. It used to be so much classier. The new highlighting looks terrible-it’s too opaque and it’s too hard to see my notes through it.

I can understand changing the font if it’s an accessibility issue for people who can’t see well, but the highlighting makes it harder to see, so I don’t get why it’s there.

I would love for them to give me a button in the options screen to turn these new “features” off if I want to. As it is, I don’t know if I want to keep using the app
