I love this game, I play it all the time to relax. One thing that has been bothering me is the latest feature that provides “hints” on when and where to use a power up in a game to win. The problem is it doesn’t go away! It stays on the screen and blocks my view and I can’t clear it and it displays the hints even when I have no coins to afford the power up. I hope there’s a way to make the hint temporary on screen because it’s driving me mad!! But thank you for this game it’s fabulous!

I love a good match 3 game, and this one was okay at first, but now it’s only boring and frustrating. I have to play the same game from 8 to 15 times before I win, then repeat on the next game. Any power ups are wasted, and blow through any points accumulated. Even the “bonus points” are annoying. There’s a cute gum ball machine that “gives” you points each day, but now at least 3 days a week you strike out. Unfortunately, Apple Arcade only has a few match 3, and I’ve played them all. It may be time to drop my subscription.

There are pop ups that are not in English during the island games. I’m not sure if I just don’t understand how the game works or if it’s a glitch, but switching 2 special gems together usually results in the effect of just one of the gems, but occasionally combines their effects, and I can’t figure out what’s different about those times. Overall the game is fun and I haven’t gotten to a level I can’t pass after a few tries yet. I have lots of coins that never seem to run out no matter how much I buy, so that’s good.

The core game is a good take on match three games, with some pretty enjoyable game modes.But its microtransaction roots are still omnipresent in the game, and it’s pretty annoying. Constant dialogs and popups try to get me to spend the in-game currency on random bits and bobs. It’s an Apple Arcade game, so they hand that out liberally and I am not technically being shaken down for money. But that almost makes it even more annoying to have to dismiss three different popups trying to “upsell” me on something just to restart a level.

As of sept 1. It still crashes but only occasionally. I’ll try to keep a note of when this happens. I will say — if it crashes, and I try to start it again right away, it will crash. If I close the game and come back later, it will usually go w no issue. Thanks for working to make the game better. ——Update as of August 11, 2024. Issue not fixed. ****************** Thank you for adding coins so that users can play the game. However, It’s July 31. Since last update, game crashes right past the opening screen. Currently the rating on this game is 1.7. It’s because of the crashing. You’ve may have lost users you’ll never get back. This should have been fixed as soon as the complaints started after the update. —————— Too much abuse of the octopus. Why is the octopus being beaten? Do we want our kids to see ‘fun’ animal abuse? It’s an unnecessary part of this game.

UPDATED 8/14: At first, I thought the crashes were related to the game updates. This may have been the original problem, and when the game started working again, I lost 20 rounds of progress. However, I’m now seeing that my app crashes *every* night. I’m in the US Eastern time zone. I can open the game in the morning, collect my daily island prize, but if I try to play the game at the night - when I actually have time - the game crashes. If it was dependable, this would be a 5-star app. It is the only game I even have on my phone!7/27 REVIEW: Have been happily playing SummerPop+ since it came to Apple Arcade. The last update has broken the game and it repeatedly crashes after the splash page. Rebooting the phone does not help. I don’t want to delete the app and lose my progress, as I’m 160 levels in! Please fix, I miss my little guys!!
