Reasoning controls, more reliable Share Sheet and Safari summaries, and recovery snapshots for your library! • Reasoning controls: supported OpenAI models now let you choose Instant, Low, or Medium reasoning. Use Instant for quick summaries or a deeper level for more complex content. • Updated AI models: choose from GPT-5.6, Claude 5, Gemini 3.6, and Grok 4.5 when you bring your own API key. • Share Sheet summaries: summaries created in other apps now appear in your main library more reliably, ready to revisit or continue with follow-up questions. • Recovery snapshots: if your library needs recovery, Data Management lets you export recent safety snapshots as a standard .sumrbackup file. • Safari extension: summarization and follow-up questions are more reliable, with quota and provider details kept in sync with the main app. • On iPad and Mac, the share window stays fully readable over the page behind it. Bulk selection on iPad also has a clearer highlight while keeping native selection controls. • Annual, Monthly, and Lifetime options are now shown together with localized prices and your current or scheduled plan status.

PDF support is here! Share a PDF from Files or tap a PDF link in your browser - Sumr reads it and gives you the summary. Works with research papers, reports, invoices, anything. PDF is is a cloud feature, hence it's for Sumr subscribers only. Also new: content type badges so you can see at a glance what each summary is (Web, PDF, Video, Text), search filters to find what you need fast, and a redesigned onboarding that actually explains what Sumr can do. Title generation got smarter too -- Sumr now extracts the real document title from PDFs and videos instead of using the filename. Plus a bunch of UI polish for iOS 26 Liquid Glass.
