Description

The sun-a-wear sensor is worn on the body and measures the UV radiation in sunlight. The sun-a-wear app on your smartphone can suggest protective measures or display the total radiation dose that has accumulated over the day. You can set your personal UV dose limit and sun-a-wear will inform you when you have reached it.

Love the Sensor and the App

I purchased the sensor after seeing an ad on social media. I’ve had the device for a couple of months now so I decided it’s time to finally write a review.

In short, this is a great product and app. The sensor works incredibly well. No charging, no fussing with it, or anything. You just put it on and it does its thing. It’s small, it’s waterproof, and it’s pretty sturdy. I even ran it through the washing machine on accident and it was fine.

The app is another great job by their team. It provides the right information in an easy to read format, but also lets you dig into more in-depth info if you want that. I want to make sure I’m putting on sunscreen when I need to. This app makes sure I do that. I’m actually surprised how quickly that needs to happen in the Southern California spring sun. One you apply sunscreen you click the SPF number in the app and it adjusts its readings to account for the sunscreen and even reminds you when yo reapply. It’s exactly what I wanted.

The best part about all of this is there’s absolutely no subscriptions. I’m sick and tired of subscriptions and these guys did it right. You buy the sensor at a reasonable price and the app comes with it. I really hope this takes off because they deserve it.
