Helpful reminder to push me outside

I’m well aware of the benefits of natural light and the importance of getting a “light bath” in the morning and evening (especially when traveling and hopping back and forth between timezones) so I was somewhat skeptical that I needed an app to help me track sun exposure. HOWEVER, after playing with the app for a few days I find two things that are super valuable to me: (1) the lux calculator on cloudy days gives me more of a push to get outside (plenty of light to harvest even on cloudy days). Nice to have that lux calculator confirmation that there is indeed a good reason to be outside getting light even if I can’t see the sun and (2) the app push reminders and progress tracking are helping me reform the habit of getting outside in the morning and evening regularly. Weird to me that an app can help push me outside even though I have already internalized the benefits of sunlight but it works! This morning’s reminder managed to steal me away from the computer and get me in the sun for a few minutes. Feeling rejuvenated by the light!
