Sunshine Island Adventure Farm 4+

Ore, ore, ore

The game is fun and while similar to it's predecessor, Big Farm, they have made a lot of improvements. I like managing multiple farms on multiple islands, both individual and group tasks, the ability to upgrade production, etc. My one complaint is they purposefully restrict specific productions and then request unrealistic quantities of that item. What is with this game's fascination with gold, copper, and iron ore? There are so many things that could be produced yet it seems this game only cares about forcing you to mine more ore than is possible. They limit you to a single forge that has ridiculously long production times (iron bars take more than 24 hours), require you to use that single building to produce three different metals (gold, copper, iron) and then request those bars on practically every plane, boat, and customer order. And, those ores are also necessary ingredients in other production items. Gold sheets? What is a gold sheet? I'm sure they exist, but who has ever seen or heard of them and why include them in a farming game? Overall, fun but some really weird decisions being made by developers.

4.5 stars! Very fun and very fair

I am currently level 27 and have been able to reach it without having to pay anything or wait ridiculous amounts of time. They have a lot of opportunities to get gems and the more expensive/long wait time objects without needing to pay. I do choose to watch ads quite a bit to get them though but I find it worth it. I also use regular coins to buy items a lot. They prices are very fair!

They have a lot of quests and tasks that keep you interested in playing. My only complaint is that once you get into the teen levels the amount of quests drop A LOT. I have gone many many levels without any quests. Part of the problem is that I would enter a new level and I already had the materials or upgrades to complete the new quests so it automatically checked them off without letting me see what I did or giving me something else.

I think the higher levels need more pop up’s from the citizens asking for random things to keep us interested. I haven’t seen a citizen since the single digit levels. My only goal right now is to get my warehouse to level 6 and that’s going to take a long time. Some more tasks would be good while I would on it.

Game is fun, could have some changes

I played hay day religiously for years and when I found this game it seemed super similar so I got it. I do like the aspect of multiple islands, makes it so you have more to do while waiting for production on other islands. Maybe I’m not a high enough level but you cannot buy items from a shop or from other players like you can on hay day. To me that was the biggest downfall because being able to buy items, with coins helps so much. And not just being able to buy with diamonds on select items from their store. I also don’t like how it takes so many shovels and land deeds to buy more land but then you receive almost no land deeds from doing shipments and orders so it takes forever to get more space. Maybe make a section in the shop where you can buy land deeds and other tools for coins. There could be small improvements all around if the game wants to be “superior” to hay day and other similar farming games for sure. People play games like this for the aspect of creating a farm and leveling up, not having to sit there and wait hours to even play again because you don’t have enough of something. Just some thoughts.
