Super You is an AR costume arts experiment by Universal Everything.
Aim your camera at your super friend, see them transform and swipe to change costumes.
There are lots of super costumes to choose from, which also sample the colours of the clothes you are wearing.
Using the latest body tracking technology, film your Super You taking a walk in the park, dancing in the kitchen or relaxing on the sofa.
Make a film of your creation and share it directly from your device’s gallery to social media, using the hashtag #SuperYouAR to join in with this collaborative artwork.
Some general tips for making your Super You film:
- Move gracefully rather than frenetically.
- Find good lighting.
- Wear colourful clothing.
- Try filming different activities in different locations - it works indoors and outdoors!
The Super You app was developed and animated by Universal Everything as part of their Future Human art series and is available internationally for free with no in-app purchases.
Please play nicely, make sure you are in a safe environment when you play in AR and always remain aware of your surroundings.
Notes
The ‘Super You’ app was developed in Unity, using Apple ARKit 3.5 and its body tracking technology. It is compatible with devices which have the Apple A12 and A13 chip. These are currently the iPhone XS, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, iPhone SE (2020) and iPad Pro (2019, 3rd generation), on iOS 13 and up.
The app is available for free with no in-app purchases.
