I recommend this app for beginners. If you are starting to study Chinese and want to learn faster, consistently, then this is the one. I’ve tried a lot of apps but I don’t find myself improving and stuck to the basics— which are worse and not even free for some basic lessons. This app now even has an ai, so things are much easier. This app really helps me in revising my lessons that I’ve learned a few years ago—yep! It is also good for reviewing what you’ve already learnt.

I have been using Super Chinese for the last few months along with some other app and classes. It’s been a huge help to get so many great grammar points, vocabulary practice, and “texts” (short stories with practice questions). My teacher and I have seen such an improvement in my level since starting.

I’ve started learning Chinese since I moved to China. It was hard to find a language learning app that worked for me but I found this one and so far it’s been helping me learn Chinese. I do still try to practice outside of the app but it is good with introducing vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation practice.

A great app! The best Chinese learning app (and I have tried basically all of them). That said: PLEASE make it compatible on a horizontal-viewed iPad!! It runs great, but I have turn my docked iPad vertically because no screen rotation is supported. A minor annoyance, in an otherwise great learning app!

Forget about Duolingo, Hellochinese, Lingodeer, Chineseskill, or other Chinese language-aimed learning apps; SuperChinese knocks the rest out of the park. If you want to learn Chinese but don’t have the resources to do so, I can only recommend this app. Lessons consist of four (five if you pay extra) parts: vocabulary, grammar, text, and a mini test, along with an AI intensive lesson if you pay for Chao. This is one of the best tools for my studying. It’s like a workbook inside one app. There’s dozens of helpful features like a textbook detailing sentences, vocab, and grammar learned in each lesson in case you forget; specific pinyin lessons with a pinyin chart; different sections that cover the different HSK levels; specific hanzi lessons that teach you stroke order and how to write the characters; specific lessons that can help you with day-to-day conversations; and even talk rooms where you can chat with other users. If you need extra help learning or don’t understand something, you can ask the AI teacher for explanations. It’s also helpful for review and practice. This is a really solid 10/10 app for me, I highly recommend you at least try it out to see if you like it. If you do, you won’t regret purchasing Plus. I can tell this app was made with care by the developers, it’s definitely not shoddy. It’s definitely a good app to invest in. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Five stars

I like this app way more than Duo and I am happy with it other than one of the most frustrating things I have encountered. When trying to pronounce words accurately, something that is very important, it often indicates mispronunciation. After 30 or more attempts I will ask my Chinese wife, who is native Chinese and teaches Chinese, what I am doing wrong. If She says my pronunciation is correct, I have her speak in the microphone and it indicates her pronunciation is incorrect . I once even recorded the demonstration from the app itself and played it back. The app indicated incorrect pronunciation. This needs to be fixed. Other than this one frustrating glitch, I like this app very much and will give 5 stars if it gets fixed.
