SuperD is a 3D conceptual modeler specifically designed for mobile devices. It is fast to learn, easy to use, and runs efficiently on iPhones and iPads.
Our pilot program has proved particularly attractive to young users and STEM educators. One ten year old designed and 3D-printed a simple teddy bear, with about fifteen minutes of instructions and a couple of hours of exploration. Educators find SuperD especially helpful in creating a playful and organic 3D spatial learning experience.
On the front end, SuperD uses the highly popular recursive subdivision (SubD) design interface; On the backend, it employs a novel surfacing technique which results in faster computation, less memory demands, and higher quality surfaces.
Three-D design has many innate challenges. It is simultaneously a beautiful and a complex process. With SuperD, a seasoned professional can prototype and share his or her visions in a fraction of time it used to take; whereas an amateur will find learning to model much less intimidating. A child with a story to tell can design all his or her characters with SuperD and then 3D-print them. Great organic sketcher
Super D is right on target for organic modeling and sketching. After only a few minutes with a tutorial video to understand the GUI, I was ready to model. This is a much easier interface to learn for smooth, organic shapes and surfaces than so many other modelers. I am looking forward to 3D printing and machining my creations.

Been waiting for this to come out. Honestly. I am impressed. Very nice application. However it could really use a basic tutorial on how to get started on the basics such as how to pull from a mesh etc etc.
The interface is nice and clean and performance is smooth even with more dense models.
My only request is to add in a feature that allows us to view the actual surface mesh as a solid instead of wireframe (not the control cage) whilst in edit mode. Having to switch back and fourth between the toggle option is a little bit bothersome to me. Still though. Really wonderful application.
Other than that, brilliant app especially for first version. No issues so far. But a basic how to guide would be highly appreciated by many I'm sure.
Some things to consider for the future though.
Alternative background color option. I'd prefer to work in a more light grey or color compared to complete black.
Notes for buyers - If you own verto studio, this is a great companion application to have as the app supports importing (via copy paste) from verto studio to this application and the interface is very similar to verto studio. All in all great job.

Developer web site is gone in 2019 a year after the last update so there's no instruction manual. Ah, it's at SuperDModeling instead of BoulderGraphics now.
