Quite good with premium content available

I use this app daily to learn German and French vocabulary. These courses are paid add-inns but really worth the price. Each item has sound samples of the question and answer, and 2 example sentences with the sound as well. You need to disable some distractions like background image, photos and translations in order to make most of the courses, but after some adjustments the app gives the user real power to learn very fast. 4 stars instead of 5 because the app is not optimized for one hand usage. Buttons are far on the left side. When you grab the phone with your right hand the buttons are not reachable with the thumb. Not optimized for the OLED screens. App should support the dark mode. Missing vocabulary courses for several main languages namely Russian, Chinese, Arabic, Hebrew and Simplified English (or American English if you like 😊). Nevertheless for some of those languages SM offers good courses, but not vocabulary centric. Default settings are just ridiculous. Only a genius may learn 30 new vocabulary items a day. User needs to manually adjust this limit for each course. Otherwise will get overwhelmed with the repetitions of the recent items, thus getting no real benefit of learning the new items.SM Team, please bring your old American English course to this version of SM. I'm willing to pay quite hefty donation if you'll do it. Thanks for your good work

It's not true that the paid courses display a picture for every item - it depends on the courses. For example, on the Extreme series, you can turn the pictures off. You can also change the default settings for the number of new daily items.edit: Now you can decide if you want to see the wallpaper - to turn it off go to settings menu.

I have beef using PC version of supermemo for years and really enjoy its results. Using it to learn is languages and just broaden my vocabulary. If used regularly everyday it really helps remembering due to serving the repetitions in optimum intervals of time - just before you forget it

SuperMemo is superior to Anki. I have used both for many years. My biggest gripe with SuperMemo is that it never seems to work seamlessly. I always waste a lot of time with SuperMemo’s bugs, and I think that is largely the reason Anki has become so popular. The biggest bug I have encountered lately is that courses I have purchased online do not register or sync in the app. The app makes it impossible to buy individual courses through the app itself which I think would bypass that problem. I have also found it impossible to log off of my account on my app and try to log back in. I would consider that a bug too. I have tried the monthly plan and things seemed to work “seamlessly.” However, I would rather buy individual courses than pay monthly forever in order to continue with my repetitions.

In case of any problems, please contact us via the form in the application. Courses purchased online should be visible in the application. Logging out is impossible because it would still have to remove the courses from the device - a similar effect can be achieved by uninstalling the application.

Terrible App, Even worst customer support

I used to love the first version of this app. This version however, is a definite DO NOT DOWNLOAD! Especially in regards to their customer support. If you dare to ask 1 too many questions, they will straight up stop responding to you. I signed up for their Premium service using my hotmail account on the assumption that it’d offer more customization over one’s flash cards....... It didn’t. Now that they know I want to cancel my Premium, they have straight up stopped answering if I contact them. This is a terrible app with even worst customer support.I even warned in my attempts to contact them, that if they didn’t try to help or at least respond to me I would leave a bad review, informing others about their crap service. They didn’t respond because they’d rather keep my “Premium” service money than help a paying customer cancel. Even if that means avoiding calls and emails. So here we are. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!
