Switch for Sonos 4+

Hangs

I am not able to fully evaluate this app because I can’t get it to da anything. I installed the app and then had to install another utility (sound flower). When I open the app it hangs, in Activity Monitor it shows as not responding. I like supporting app writers and I hope that the developer releases an update soon. I would be happy to update my review when I am able to use what I paid for.

Hi, all other features except feature stream/cast Mac system audio to Sonos speaker need that audio system extension to be installed. You can fully control your Sonos speaker once they are found (or add speaker IP manually) by the App right away, include play control, volume/bass control, play local music file or internet music. Not what I expected - Got it working

Thanks for your feedback! I didn’t even think about clicking on the ? next to the streaming line. I’ve got it working and it works just the way I want.

Hi, the App doesn't work in that way, you can stream all your Mac audio (include any streaming service you using on your Mac) to Sonos speaker if you setup Mac Audio streaming correctly in the App, please click on the help button next to audio streaming dropbox to see how to set that up.

It works as claimed

With Sonos, one has to have a Smart Phone or I-Pad…and that works great.

However, this does offer basic control of whats currently playing; volume, next/previous song, mute/pause and song that’s playing. It’s a switch and performs as one. I use the I-pad to control artist, song, playlists, etc. and then go to my IMac for use the switch for items listed above.

As far as I know, this switch is the only software that can run on a “computer.” So, it is what it is…and works.
