I picked this up a couple of years ago for my new 14ft shelf layout. Began playing with it, found it much easier to setup and use for a small layout. Played with a couple of other apps (JMRI and one other), but they required a LOT more setup, and didn't do what I needed, but this one does. Really nice is the ability to use my iPad at the layout to view the switchlists as I operate. Couple of things I'd like to have, but not critical, and the author has plans to upgrade based on users input. Recomended!

I really like SwitchList 1.4 but I’m having to use ‘Trial & Error’ to understand how best to use the program for my N-scale medium size DCC layout. Robert Bowdidge, is there a file somewhere I’m not seeing that gives the instructions for setting up this app? I really want to see this work for my layout! Thank you very much!

What a delight this program is, especially after wrestiling for years with a similar Windows app that seemingly fought me at every turn. This app did what I needed it to and it only took me a couple of hours to set up. Handles divisions, switchers, yards without complaint. I’d gladly give the developer my money, but I’ll give him a rave review instead.

Switchlist is terrific! I can’t say enough good things about this application. It’s easy to set up, fun to use, and the integration with the iPad is great too.Above all, the author, Robert Bowdidge, is a fantastic guy! He is active in the Google support group, and goes out of his way to help people, often taking their program and modifying it for them to resolve any issues. He also worked with me to develop a switchlist style that includes car photos, which is a big help for my operators with less-than-perfect vision.If you are looking for a switchlist generating program for the Mac, this is it!!
