• Several causes of crashes have been resolved, and various display issues in the user interface have been corrected.

3.5.0 May 5
Under rare circumstances, it happened that you did not see the presence status of your colleagues. Of course, we fixed this very quickly and hope for a positive rating in the App Store. Thank you very much.
3.4.4 05/03/2023
- We have implemented the wish for another filter in the call list. Now you can also display only accepted calls there.
- With Ventura, the chat messages were suddenly no longer visible. This was not desired. Therefore, we have now made them visible on Ventura as well.
- Sometimes the volume was set to 0 when starting the app. This was quite confusing so it has been corrected.
- Also, it bothered some users when we asked for a rating at sometimes inappropriate moments. Therefore, we have decided to remove the prompt. Of course, we are still happy about every positive review!
3.4.3 11/29/2022
Unfortunately, we also noticed that the sound was no longer heard through the headset.
We apologise for this restriction and have of course corrected it immediately.
Please confirm in a positive feedback if your headset can now be used again as expected.
3.4.2 09/27/2022
Somehow it was no longer possible to change the presence status on Swyx Desktop for macOS. This is now possible again. But note that the status will be taken from there when using the MS Teams integration! We also updated the database to avoid some crashes.
If you are now even more satisfied with Swyx Mobile, the developers would be very happy about a positive review. Many thanks in advance!
3.4.1 08/24/2022
In order to fix known vulnerabilities in the memory of PJSIP, we immediately updated PJSIP to version 2.12. Unfortunately, we had to raise the minimum macOS requirements to version 10.15 (Catalina) to do this. Your security is important to us.
3.4.0 04/12/2022
- You have noticed that in some situations the favorites disappear or the order changes. We have fixed this directly and the order will now be the same on all your devices. Local favorites will of course remain local and will not end up on the server or other devices.
- In the call, calls can be transferred back to a favorite or you can add a call to a favorite.
- Also, when using the system audio settings, there could be problems when making phone calls. This was not planned this way and has been corrected by us.
If you are now satisfied again, we would appreciate a nice review.
3.3.1 02/09/2022
We realised from your feedback that some areas of the app were difficult to see and did not work as expected. Since Christmas is just around the corner, everything should actually look pretty. So we have redesigned the toolbar and popovers. Now you can click on your phone number above the dial pad to change it. Click on the Forwardings button to activate and customise it. Click on your avatar to change avatar, status text or presence status. Now everything should look better in both Light Mode and Dark Mode. The audio settings have also been optimised so that you can now also simply use the system settings. Why not give us 5 stars if you like the gifts.
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a successful 2022!
3.3.0 12/22/2021
As the new pjsip version 2.11 on macOS older than 10.15 (Catalina) causes a crash on a call and there is another problem with pjsip version 2.8 - 2.10 on the Mac (which was only fixed with pjsip version 2.11), we had to quickly downgrade pjsip to version 2.7.2 again to spare you this inconvenience on an older Mac.
3.2.2 11/26/2021
We have added new options for you in the chat and now allow you to send and of course receive photos/files. Do you prefer to use the + button or just drop them into the chat? As on the iPhone, you can edit, delete and copy messages. Photos and files can even be displayed in full size and shared with colleagues in a variety of ways. Surprise your colleagues with a nice animated GIF. We hope you enjoy the new version of Swyx Desktop!
If you like the new chat options, let us know in a nice review in the App Store.
Thank you very much!

3.2.0 11/17/2021
We have now found a way to support the buttons on your Jabra headset again without the Jabra SDK also permanently crashing our app and making you unreachable. If you are using a Jabra Bluetooth headset, we recommend using the Jabra Bluetooth adapter on your Mac for a more stable Bluetooth connection. If you are now satisfied with Swyx Desktop again, please let us know by leaving a positive review in the App Store.
- You can answer and end calls using your Jabra headset/station
- On Swyx Desktop you can see if you have pressed the mute button on your Jabra headset
3.1.0 06/04/2021
Once again we have used your feedback to make Swyx Desktop even better for you...
- The profile picture looks as expected again under macOS macOS 11 (Big Sur)
- With a click on the time at the Recent list you can see now also see the duration of a call
- Unfortunately, we had to remove the Jabra SDK to eliminate the main cause of crashes
- Status based on calendar no longer crashes the app on macOS 11
- Now the app should start as usual for all users on macOS 11
If you are satisfied with our improvements, which were made available from the home office, we would be happy to hear from you again. Please update your review in the App Store. If you have any other problems, questions or suggestions for improvement regarding the app, please send an email to desktop-for-mac@swyx.com.
Merry Christmas and stay healthy! Swyx
3.0.4 12/20/2020
In this small update we have only added a hint about sent or received pictures/files e.g. from your iPhone or iPad.
3.0.3 09/24/2020
- In combination with SwyxWare 12.10 (or higher) you can now chat with your colleagues.
- You will also enjoy an improved user experience when using a CTI linked Yealink desk phone.
- We were able to fix the problems experienced by some users with an older SwyxWare when using a VPN connection instead of the recommended remote connector.
- This app can also be used with the old SwyxWare 11, but then without the bug fixes from SwyxWare 12.
If you are satisfied with our improvements, which were made available from the home office, we would be happy to hear from you again and update your review in the App Store. If you have any problems, questions or suggestions for improvement regarding the app, please send an email to desktop-for-mac@swyx.com.
Have fun chatting and
keep well!

3.0.2 07/06/2020
We have withdrawn version 3.0.0 because it caused some users to lose calls when using VPN and indicated an interruption of their Internet connection.
This version therefore corresponds to the previous version 2.4.0 in order to help these users immediately. A version 3.0.2 with all new features is in progress...
3.0.1 05/07/2020
- We have heard your wish and now offer you the possibility to write messages to your colleagues with Swyx Desktop. This requires a SwyxWare on the server higher than version 12.10.
- Users who use a Yealink desk phone connected via CTI are now able to select an extension in Swyx Desktop for outgoing calls. The extension of an incoming call is now also correctly displayed on the client.
- In addition, numerous bugs have been fixed that no longer bother you in the home office.
If you like our new features, we would be very happy about a positive rating in the App Store. Have fun chatting and
keep well!

3.0.0 04/30/2020
We have used your feedback to fix a few bugs:
- Brackets, spaces, slashes, and hyphens should of course not be dialled
- We have removed one not needed 0 when dialing. Now you should be able to call again as expected
- It's now possible to use a password in the EasyConfig URL
- Optimized database and storage usage
Unfortunately we had to remove the Plantronics SDK because the use of non-public APIs is not allowed in the App Store. Please use the 'Plantronics Hub for Mac' from the manufacturer's website to get additional support for your Plantronics headset.
Please continue to send us your suggestions for improvement to desktop-for-mac@swyx.com
2.4.0 12/19/2019
- You can click on a link in an email to attend a conference (also if Swyx Desktop is not started)
- For a better user experience the dial button in Recents is always visible
- A re-login will no longer be blocked by a modal dialogue
- Links to the 'Swyx Helpcenter' and 'Swyx Community' are directly available in the Swyx Desktop help menu
- XING contacts are no longer provided by XING, so we have removed them
...and we got rid of our most frequent crashes. Thank you for your feedback!
Please continue to send us your suggestions for improvement to desktop-for-mac@swyx.com
2.3.0 06/05/2019
With this hotfix the buttons at the new typical macOS toolbar are now also visible on macOS versions before Sept 2017 (Yosemite, El Capitan and Sierra). The app size will no longer grow and cause a bad performance and the online help is shown in system language again. We apologise for any inconveniences and want to thank you for your feedback. This has allowed us to solve the problems quickly.
Enjoy the new customisable toolbar also there including the 'Dial & Search' field which is always active. Directly enter the phone number at your hardware keyboard and press Return to dial and later to end the call. The field can be also used to search a contact at Contacts or at Recents by entering the name. To clear the filter press Esc.
If you are observing any other app related issues or want to share your suggestions for improvements, we would be glad to get your feedback at desktop-for-mac@swyx.com

3) automate Swyx Desktop by script (e.g. change presence status, initiate calls, activate forwardings, use details of incoming calls...)
For more details about automation please have a look to the online help.
