Nine times out of ten, when I want to turn the AC temp warmer (by one degree, two degrees, three — makes no difference), the actual setting will go COLDER instead a degree at a time. On the app, it looks like the requested change has been made, but if I exit the app and then open it again, I see what the REAL change is. Therefore, we can’t rely on it from a remote location to set it to the temp we want. Strangely, this happens (so far) only when we are trying to make it warmer. The problem doesn’t occur when we set it to a colder setting.

I use the app with zoning so maybe my problems are specific to that:- when I change the temperature setting or any other setting I have to keep the app open for a while or it won’t take over the change - if I want to change a thermostat from heating to auto or cooling it will only do it if I also change a temperature at the same time but it will take the heating temperature number for cooling and vice versa- vacation mode works but not if you travel in a time zone that is ahead and the date has switched so I had to manually change my time zone on my phone to home, for example I cannot choose to start the mode now if my date is December 5 while back home it’s the 4thI would hope the app could be more transparent as to what mode or schedule segment it is in right now. An permanent hold override would be nice.

I’ve had three Geothermal systems, and I’m seven years into my second Waterfurnace. I finally sprang for the $1000 Symphony system, only to find it very outdated. It does not live up to its promotional literature, nor does the app. First - the system cannot be set up for multiple electrical rate tiers, so energy costs are not accurate. Next, the literature implies that lots of data would be available. It turns out that only the dealer can see most of this data, and only a few parameters are allowed to be viewed by the consumer. So - we pay for it, but Waterfurnace gets all of the data to use as they see fit. Finally - the company seems to be uninterested in improvement. This decade+ old app and Symphony system are proof of this. The app does have some useful information, but it really needs to be improved.

This works well to control temperature settings and see the temperature in each room. I’m disappointed though that unlike the website you can’t see all of the system data (loop temperature, fan and compressor speeds, etc). I have to log in on safari to get that which seems silly when they have an app they could easily add this to.I also noticed when I played with the scheduling feature that even though I deleted the schedule the thermostat still had one programmed the next day. It’s apparently a bug because it happened twice.
