TabiTalk is a Japanese learning app that helps you learn from your own confusing moments in Japan. When someone says something you do not catch, or you do not know how to reply, you can use TabiTalk to ask about the phrase, see how it works, and then practise it in a short scenario.
Instead of long word lists, streaks and random example sentences, you get practical situations, short drills and camera reading that help you actually use what you know in everyday life.
If you have tried other apps and still cannot handle basic interactions without panic, TabiTalk is designed for you.

Use the Ask / Translate bar when you hear or want to say something in Japanese. TabiTalk breaks it down into vocabulary and grammar, then turns it into a scenario so you can practise the pattern and reply a few times until it feels natural.

Work through step by step conversations with hints and answer choices. You learn to choose the right phrase in context, instead of memorising random sentences that never show up in real life.
● See it, read it, understand it
Point your camera at menus, signs, labels and receipts. TabiTalk pulls out clean text with readings and quick meanings so you can read what is in front of you, even if your kanji is weak.
● Tap to see how sentences work
Tap parts of a sentence to see what they mean and how they function. Particles, counters, fixed expressions and polite endings. Patterns start to make sense over time, without needing a full textbook on your phone.
● Gentle review that fits into your day
Saved words and tricky phrases come back in future scenarios and quick checks. You see them just enough to remember them, in sessions you can finish between trains or while waiting for your order.
● Made for busy people in Japan
Lessons are short and focused. You can open the app when something just happened in real life, practise the pattern a few times, then try it again the next day.
● Beginner-friendly
Every phrase includes audio and an English-letter pronunciation (for example, sumimasen for すみません), so you can start speaking even if you do not read Japanese yet.

Core phrases, saved content and dictionary lookups work without a connection, so you are not stuck when you are out and about in Japan.
