This app is the reason I’ve been able to get into over 50 of NYC’s best restaurants. It consistently delivers me notifications of availability that Priority Notify I get with my Amex doesn’t. The user experience for setting an alert is also far superior to Resy’s, and I only have to create one alert as opposed to creating one every day on Resy. Elite product, highly recommend for New Yorkers and those visiting the city.

I first got into using this app when I needed help getting reservations at hard-to-get restaurants. It ease my days of having to check Resy everyday and being 1 step slower than everyone else. With the old UI, I get to see empty reservation slots for every restaurant featured on the app in live mode.

After their update, while the UI looks aesthetically pleasing to the eye, I don’t get to see reservation slots anymore. I will click on a restaurant and it will show a picture of the restaurant, the statistics of number of pax likely to book for that restaurant, and a button to create an alert. So, if you were late to an alert and even if that slot is still open, you won’t be able to see that slot in the app. And they’re charging $9 a month or $49 annually!!! This is outrageous given there was twice in the month that I paid where the live updates went out!!

I don’t think the $9 I spent was worth it at all. In the end, Resy notification alert gave me the reservation that I needed. I wish I can ask for a refund. This is really disappointing.

Pretty hilarious that the developer had my review taken down several times when all of the things I mentioned were truthful like an inability to customize time ranges, seating options was a flaw and that it was just a bad Resy API wrapper. And when I called out that they were suiting up to make it a charged service got some bogus response from the developer "We pride ourselves on offering our tools to help you land reservations without a cost". Well that aged like milk and maybe the cherry on top is that some of their recent five star reviews are clearly just friends of the developer trying to prop up their rating because the reviews came in when the app was down for over a week (ever heard of rollbacks or reliable deployment strategies?)
