Description

Take7 is an award-winning practice app designed to transform how you learn music. Its unique set of features have been developed by a team of experienced music teachers, and will help you to become the best musician you can be. Before long you’ll be ready to play in front of friends, family and in the concert hall.

With a music library stored in the cloud, you can use Take7 anywhere, anytime to practice for a music exam, play along with a virtual orchestra or catch up on your scales and arpeggios.

Slow it down and loop passages

Follow the on-screen score at a speed that suits you, then loop the passages you find most difficult. Gradually build up the tempo until you have mastered the whole piece. Use the inbuilt tuner and metronome to improve your accuracy.

Record yourself and get feedback

Take7 will record and analyse your performance, provide feedback and create practise loops of gradually increasing speed. This method of practicing has been proven to boost productivity by over 50%.

Play with or without accompaniment

Choose between three listening modes: all parts, your part or just the accompaniment. Start off by focussing on your part only, then build up your confidence until you can play with only the accompaniment. This is the perfect way to prepare for a real life performance.

Build a user profile

Track your progress and record your stats by selecting daily practice goals. Take7 will automatically update your goals and help you to keep on top of your practice.

Use with multiple instruments

The app supports over 15 instruments, including Flute, Saxophone, Violin, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, and Guitar. You can play as part of a virtual orchestra, string group, brass, wind band and even jazz band. There’s no limit to the music making on offer.

Chose from a huge music library

Take7 has a huge selection of music, ranging from absolute beginner right up to advanced. With it you can build a personalised, digital library in the cloud, and practice anywhere, anytime! It also comes with free sample music to allow you to experience this powerful learning tool at no cost.

Play with friends

Take7 is designed to support all learning styles, from groups to one-on-one teaching, as well as those who are learning by themselves.

Take7 has helped hundreds of people both to discover and re-discover their love for music. Many users now play in orchestras and regularly give concerts. Pick up your old violin, dust of the trumpet in your cupboard and join our community.

I think that it's a great idea but needs improvement

I am a flautist and I love the idea of the app but I still feel there is room for improvement whenever I play at the right tempo it does not catch it and also sometimes it shows that I didn't play the note at all when I did

Good idea, disappointing

The interface is well designed and easy to use, however the app really suffers from it's short selection of available music. So much more should be added before calling this a finished product. It proposes a 10 minute goal per day, however there is hardly 10 minutes of actual music for my selection of music. Also the listening algorithm has trouble correctly interpreting trills within the context of music.

Funky!

This app has some nice funky backing tracks for beginners! Keep up the good work app developers an we will keep playing the clarinet with your help. (music teacher and his daughter) Thank you!
