Not fully baked = good idea; not edible
I downloaded the app when it was free and am glad I didn’t pay for it. Because it’s not usually free and there doesn’t appear to be a way to reach the developer for feedback, I’d recommend not downloading it until its does the minimum of what it needs to do.
Here’s my take, so far:
Pros: The premise is great. The guidance questions are thoughtful.
Cons: User-adjustable settings appear non-existent. App has buttons that go no where. It feels like the developer had great intentions but added it to App Store before it was finished.
How to use: It’s a good app to provide prompts when setting goals, but you’ll want to write out your goals in a separate sheet of paper.
Appears to use the S.M.A.R.T. Goal system.
Great premise, but much under-utilized
The app is a great concept and is very well designed but I felt it was lacking in a major way. When you first create tasks, it asks you to fill out a survey of sorts with questions like "why do you want to do this?" and "What will you achieve by keeping this goal?" (along with many other questions like that). It was very motivating to fill it out and made me want to accomplish the goal. But, when I would fail to complete the task, the app brought none of that motivation back. Instead, I was provided with the same "You can do it" (paraphrasing) message over and over. It worked the first couple fails but eventually, I just stopped reading it and there was no motivating factor, which is a big failure for a motivation app.
Again, the app is laid out very well and is extremely visually appealing and easy to use. However, I found no use in it after 3-4 weeks because I wasn't reminded of why I wanted to achieve that goal repeatedly when I failed to do the task. And that's a major failure for this app in my eyes.
Developer Response ,
In 48h we should deploy a new version which fixes this problem. :)
I am so excited to use all the features of this app but I really really want the things unlocked that you say will be once there’s an update. Please update the app so I can use it at it’s full potential and I will give you 5 stars. Thank you!!!!
