DEFY THE ULTIMATE CHALLENGE: Players who live for the adrenaline of riding off the edge of danger may try their hand at Hardcore Mode. Specially tailored for those who want a unique and brutal playthrough, these characters only get one chance. Survive longer than those before you and have your character’s legacy remembered for all time.
GATHER, CRAFT, DECORATE: Take a break from battles and enjoy fishing, mining, or chopping trees while leveling up your life skills and character level simultaneously!
SOLVE PUZZLES: NPCs all over Tales of Yore have tasks and quests for a young adventurer like yourself, but it is up to you to figure out where to go. You may find hints as you travel, but nothing comes easy if you want to climb to the top of glory.
SMALL BUT FASHIONABLE: Yore may not have the flashiest graphics, but that doesn’t mean we can’t flaunt our pixels. Enjoy a cosmetics tab to freely mix and match anything you want. Oh, and did we mention hats? There’s lots of cute hats for you and your pets!
MOUNT UP AND FIGHT ALONGSIDE PETS: Train and ride on a variety of mounts and pets as you dive into the open world of Yore. As you get stronger, so do your mounts and pets.
COLLECT & FIND RARE LOOT: Access your readily updated in-game achievements page to check how close you are to becoming a certified completionist. Find rare armor and weapons from bosses, or secret legendary drops from other avenues.
CLIMB THE LEADERBOARDS: Compete with other players to become the top ranked in Yore. Various leaderboards are updated every day and allow for anyone, no matter when they joined, to climb to number 1.
PARTAKE IN WEEKLY EVENTS: Join players in defeating waves of monsters and bosses during community-led events! Earn EXP and gold no matter what your level is. Meet and make friends! Make jokes at the mods expense!

Ratings and Reviews
Old school vibes, multiplayer done right
Picked this up and immediately binge-played for several hours. It’s still early in development, but there’s at least 6+ hours of content already. I love the art style, the personality of the locations, the music is spot-on. The quests are simple but well written and most of them link together so there’s a good sense of accomplishment every time you make progress.
The multiplayer is actually really cool. Your friends/random people can help you, buff you with spells or just chat and give advice. I believe it’s a cross platform server. There’s no pvp. Very good community so far. Would recommend trying it out. Hope the dev continues to support this.
Guys, this is a gem so far
For reference, I’ve played the game about 3 hours or so. Maybe a smidge more, it’s hard to say. It is very much an exploration game, kind of reaching out into the world discovering where the tough zones are and what you are building up for, to then go further and complete more quests. Loving the pacing, loving the combat grinding and the rewarding feel of the higher level weapons.
This reminds me of when I first picked up RuneScape when I was 11, just exploring and playing. I can’t wait to get into the higher level gameplay.
Fantastic old school RPG
Even in it’s WIP form, Tales of Yore it a hit. It’s got everything you want from an old school top down rpg. Balance, wide variety of enemies, quests, fighting styles, places to explore… a solid all around game. ALREADY.
Can’t wait to see where the developers take this!
