TalkClok weaves weather, traffic, and tasks into one flowing audio narrative. It connects the dots—if rain slows your route, leave early. Listen on AirPods or CarPlay. TALKCLOK 2.0 IS HERE! We rebuilt TalkClok from scratch. Every issue from our first release has been tackled, solved, and supercharged: rock-solid reliability, deeper real-time data, blistering speed, full Apple CarPlay support, and a brand-new, world-class Accessibility architecture. TalkClok is now the definitive spoken briefing and acoustic clock for iPhone. Wake up gently, keep your eyes closed, and let your day be read to you in a calm, human, perfectly paced voice - in the morning and throughout your entire day. OVERVIEW: ZERO-SCREEN BRIEFS, MORNING TO NIGHT Imagine waking up not in a panic, but to a smooth acoustic briefing. The moment your alarm rings, TalkClok greets you with the time, checks your commute, details your forecast, reads your schedule and tasks, gives you top news, and tracks your stock watchlist. And it does not stop at wake-up. TalkClok is your zero-screen companion all day long: - MIDDAY CHECK-INS: Review remaining meetings and due tasks without screen distractions. - EVENING COMMUTE: Instant Apple Maps traffic and ETA updates before driving home. - ON-DEMAND WITH SIRI: Just tap Listen or say "Hey Siri, start TalkClok" anytime - while cooking, working out, or relaxing. WHAT IS NEW: - ROCK-SOLID RELIABILITY: Zero alarm dropouts. Complete architecture overhaul guarantees alarms and audio fire flawlessly every morning. - GREATER PERFORMANCE: Instant startup, fluid responsiveness, and zero lag. - DEEPER REAL-TIME DATA: Live MapKit traffic delays, pinpoint hourly weather, live stock deltas, and expanded RSS feeds. - CALIBRATED SPEECH PACING: Locked-in 0.48x tempo with 300ms breath pauses for the most relaxing audio experience. YOUR COMPLETE BRIEFING SUITE: - ACOUSTIC ALARM & TIME ANCHOR: Gentle greeting with time, weekday, and date. Set repeating schedules for weekdays or weekends. - LIVE COMMUTE & DEPARTURE GUARD: Real-time Apple Maps routes before stepping outside. Accurate duration, traffic conditions, and delay warnings. - HYPER-LOCAL HOURLY WEATHER: Rain alerts, conditions, and temperatures spoken clearly so you always dress prepared. - SMART CALENDAR AGENDA: Chronological schedule reading that automatically filters out meeting links and URL clutter. - PRIORITY TASKS & TO-DOS: Stay ahead of deadlines. Top iCloud Reminders due today are prioritized and spoken in order. - LIVE STOCKS & WATCHLIST: Hear price changes and percentage movements for your favorite stocks as markets open and close. - NEWS & CUSTOM RSS FEEDS: Curated headlines from top publishers (BBC, NPR, The Verge, Reuters) plus an open RSS engine for any publication. BUILT FOR CARPLAY & COMMUTING: Take your briefing onto the road: - NATIVE CARPLAY DISPLAY: Appears automatically on your dashboard. Tap to listen with zero friction. - SEAMLESS SIRI INTEGRATION: Just say "Hey Siri, start TalkClok" through your car microphone. - SAFE STEERING CONTROLS: Play, pause, or dismiss using steering wheel buttons and dashboard dials. Not working well

It’s a great idea. I wish it worked well. I downloaded and in the first 5 minutes it crashed 4 times. It doesn’t read all my calendar items even though all calendars are selected. You can’t change order of widgets. It would have been better for me to hear my tasks before music bc I’d just go to sleep with music if I didn’t know what was happening that day. Also, temp in Celsius as only option? Hello? American market? Will be deleting the app.

Sounds like a great concept and has a wide range of options. I bought the pro version. But the “wake up sounds” only go off for a few seconds and then go away. If it’s not enough to wake me up the talking never starts then it just leaves a notification that your alarm went off and doesn’t go off anymore. Pretty dangerous if you are a deep sleeper. It would be nice to have the option of the talking starting automatically instead of having to wake up and click “ok” for the alarm to start. No one wants to hit the snooze button forever but this app doesn’t have one at all!

I do like the concept of the app. The voices are not that great to me. They sound super computerized. I would like to have Siri as my voice because it flows and it’s smoother. The time and the temperature, It would be nice if those where able to be changed from 34 hr format and Celsius to Fahrenheit and 12 hour format. If some more customizable features were on here I would give better stars. I do really like the app.
