Description
A new version of Lao Tzu's "The Tao Te Ching" that captures the meaning, the poetry, the impact, the otherworldliness that Lao Tzu was pointing to.
For people who think there's more to life than cable news, blogs, work, family, gadgets. Find the calmness underneath. Wade through the vastness. Be grounded amidst Life's uncertainties. Peek from a transformed point of view.
Long, long ago, before Lao Tzu left the imperial kingdom, he was asked by a gatekeeper to impart his wisdom before the world lost him altogether. What he left behind was the Tao Te Ching.
This version tries its best to capture the breath, meaning, poetry, depth and otherworldliness that Lao Tzu was pointing to, framed in the poignant pictures of artist-photographer Dollie Rubiano.
Available as a universal app in beautiful layout for both iPad and iPhone/iPod Touch versions, it is free for all to share, to be enlightened, to be enjoyed.

Ratings and Reviews
Excellent translation! Wish I could get a PDF.
I have read this for many years, it is my favourite translation. I would love to have this on iBooks as a ePub or PDF, so that I can listen to it via text to speech; or to have the app allow VoiceOver to read its text. Regardless, I am thankful for this iOS 10 update.

I read passages from this app occasionally, when I feel I’ve lost my way now and then. It’s a wonderful translation reminding me that where I am.. is fine.
By far my favorite Tao app
...and I find most of the pictures add to the experience, on a personal level (to the extent that one can add to the experience of reading the Tao! ...although I'm sure that must be possible for some). I also find the quality of the artwork is quite high calibre, and feel that the subject matters are usually well-suited, in my opinion.
For those who say "ugh" to the seemingly preposterous notion (to them) of having pictures of one photographer's attempt at portraying everyday life exhibited with one's reading of the Tao, you'll be happy to know that there are at least three other Tao applications in the app store (that I've come across). None of these have photographic images to distract you.
