Type normally. Tapling doesn't ask for your attention. You earn keycaps simply by typing as you always do. All keys count, including backspaces and corrections. Tapling celebrates real typing, not perfect typing.
Customize your Tapling with new furs, hats, and faces. Open cardboxes to discover items and build a style that feels like yours. All cosmetics are visual only, just small, gentle ways to give your Tapling personality.

I love this app. Its super cute and adds a hint of whimsy to my life every time i type. But i will say the spell check and auto caps are a little off. The cat has a hard time spelling. I like it overall though and cant wait to see what comes next.

I really think its cute and i heavily enjoy bongo cat on steam so im so happy to have found a bongo for keyboard but a few suggestions? It doesn't always capitalize when it should. I also tend to type pretty fast and i've noticed the keyboard doesn't catch letters when i type fast. More skins and cosmetics would also be super fun for less taps, so i don't have to spend so much for one thing. Maybe even achievements like “first 5000 taps collected” or “first skin bought” would be cool to acquire. Overall im just happy i have a bongo to tap with me lol thank you for creating one - keep developing it please please - don't abandon this masterpiece

this genuinely means a lot, thank you so much :) so happy you found your keyboard bongo lolthe capitalization and fast typing issues are on my radar, they come from the limitations of building a custom keyboard on iOS which is harder than it sounds.honestly whether I can invest more time and resources into Tapling depends on how much interest there is. reviews and feedback like yours definitely make me want to keep going. no promises but I won't abandon it :)

Hi I downloaded the app/game and I went through the process and went to my messages typed and there was no cat I’m so completely confused i need help and I pressed the key cap button in the app and now I can’t use the box button! O-O

Please add haptics. When pressing and holding space on the normal iPhone keyboard to move the cursor, the haptic feedback triggers. On Tapling it doesn’t. Also the cursor only moves horizontally. It should be able to move vertically as well like on the normal iPhone keyboard.Also please figure out how to make it so that we can earn keycaps without giving the app Full Keyboard Access. I’m just not willing to do that and most people won’t after the warning Apple gives about how enabling it could give a developer access to everything typed including credit card information. Most users won’t be able to read the app code to verify the “only counts taps” claim. Thank you.

I totally get it. The keyboard doesn't feel like the native iOS keyboard. That's because iOS doesn't allow using the system keyboard. So Tapling uses a custom keyboard built with KeyboardKit. It's the best option I’ve found. To get full parity (including everything you mentioned) I'd need a paid KeyboardKit plan (around $150+/month), which isn't feasible for a free app. I've tried to extend the free foundation for a more native feel but haven't gotten there yet. If there's more interest, I'm happy to revisit.On keycaps: it's an iOS restriction. As soon as the keyboard shares anything with the app (be it just how many keycaps you've earned), you need Full Access. You can still use Tapling without earning keycaps. The keyboard works without Full Access. You just won't earn keycaps.All of this is open source, and I take the privacy side very seriously. It's the best I can do under these constraints. If you have questions or ideas, I'm all ears :)
