Simply Useful

No regrets buying this app. It isn't the most elegant or graphically appealing world map but it works perfectly and provides a fun, easy way to learn or brush up on your geography. There are three modes of game type to choose from: Question and Answer, Tap and Type and Discovery. The first two challenge you to locate and name countries, the third lets you explore the world without a timer or scoring. On the statistics menu you can see your scores for accuracy and completion time for each region.

The good: Great value, simple and effective way to learn the countries of the world, no need to be connected to wifi to play or explore, individual states included when playing the U.S. maps.

The no so good: Graphically no so inspiring

Wish list: I'd love to see country flags included and some topographical features like mountain ranges. Would also be great to name oceans, seas, and capital cities. (Would gladly pay more for those features).

Extremely Helpful!!!

I am in my sophomore year of high school, and I'm taking world geography. As bad as it was, I could probably only tell you where the major countries were, and that's pretty much it. This app has helped me improve by a lot! Since getting this app, I haven't gotten anything less than 100% in my class!! The best part was that the app is free! I never make in app purchases, but I'm actually going to upgrade. It's just that good! This app is great for all ages too! My 11 year-old brother is taking American History, which means he needs to know all of the states. I showed him this app, and now he can tell you where all of them are! I definitely recommend to everyone of any age who is in school and has to know some portion of geography

Great App for Practicing Memorization of the Countries

"TapQuiz Maps" is an app that allows users to test how well they know the countries in parts of the world. I love how this app has very simple direction on how to use the app. Also, this app is very useful to students who are trying to memorize countries, because the app gives a score on how well you label the correct country. Compared to other Social Studies apps, this app is VERY simple to use; the other apps are sometimes confusing in directions. The only thing I would change, is I would add an option to compete with other players to make the app more challenging. But I love how in no time, you will know all of the countries, because this app is very addicting!
